Company did PTO addition to our home. The TPO was incorrectly installed. A service supervisor came out, acknowledged their mistake but not corrected. We reached out to supervisors multiple times and was assured corrective action and no phone calls and action has been taken.
Repair the faulty installation.
Please see attached showing the final inspection from the county passed that it was installed correctly according to the County. We did what we were contracted to do.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A subsequent inspection by the company's own supervisor found faulty workmanship and corrective action was promised. Repeated calls and subsequent visits to the company has failed to produce results. The company's shoddy workmanship is now causing further damage to other parts of our newly constructed pool area
I seem to have resolved this complaint and I request it be withdrawn.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

My roof is less than 5 years old. There is standing water on the flat roof. Workmanship is covered and it was not leveled correctly from the start.
After 10+ phone calls they keep trying not to honor the warranty. Always a different excuse to buy time until the warranty runs up. Mike, the supervisor, verbally voided my warranty over the phone after telling me lies about the contract. It was noy leveled properly from day one.
The labor/materials taken care of as this was a workmanship issue from day 1.
We installed the roof at *** in late 2016. Mr. is not the original purchaser of the roof. The standard workmanship warranty on our roofs is 1 year, and was non transferable. We responded to Mr. out of courtesy despite the fact that he is not the original purchaser, and the roof is out of workmanship warranty.
That said, the issue with the ponding water that Mr. is complaining about was addressed with the original purchaser of the roof. A tapered system was recommended, and was refused.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company never reached out to me, I had to make 6 phone calls over 6 weeks to get someone to come and look at the issue. I even offered Mike, the supposed supervisor, that I would pay to have it done correctly. After another two weeks no calls or emails.
As a condition to purchasing the home they put this roof on with the guarantee the warranty was transferable, when I transfered the warranty I was reassured it was a 5 year labor/materials coverage.
I was by no means complaining about ponding water, I was concerned for my family and the structural integrity of the home due to the *** poor workmanship.
Bay to Bay Roofing Failed in Service
Bay to Bay Roofing was hired to replace my roof on my residence, aprox 3100 sq, which is a good size home. They Started job on Sept 13, 2018 and said they were done the next day on the 14th. They left a mess in yard, gutters were left hanging after they promised to come back no later then Friday sept, 15 or the 16.they never showed. They damaged my soffits leaving wrinkles/hammer marks in the aluminum soffits, also now with the heavy rains I have water leaking from light fixture in bathroom. They refuse to take my calls after a week or so and sent certified letter demanding payment. Now they put lean on my home. I hired a attorney and so far this is where it stands. They came back with a hammer trying to take wrinkles out soffits but they are permanently damaged and need replaced. They refuse to replace.
I only wanted a new roof that does not leak without damage to soffits and clean up there mess totally. Now i have to wait for attorny's i guess.
After the roof was installed the customer called about gutters, damaged soffits and a mess in the yard. There have not been any reports of leaks at Mr. property at *** Dr, Springhill, FL. It is customary for gutters to be loosened or removed during roof replacement but our contract clearly states in line item 21 that we are not responsible for damage gutters. We made many attempts to straighten an area of damaged soffit. We cannot replace soffits as sometimes the nature of the business may cause minor dings in soffit and gutters. Some of the said damage is scratches in the paint and we have pictures to prove this. We did return and clean up the yard and nails a second time after a request was made. Mr *** was given several opportunities to pay for the work which was completed and he refused therefore the next course of action is place a lien on his property. In the meantime he hired an attorney who we have been unable to reach nor have they returned our calls.
After our new roof was placed by Bay to Bay roofing we started having a leak into our dining room that Bay to Bay denied was due to the new roof.
After noticing water was leaking into our Dining room, we contacted Bay to Bay due to the leak occurring AFTER our roof was placed. They did indeed come out and did some work in which nothing stopped the leak. After us calling them back out several times he told me to hire a leak detection company. So we hired American Leak Detection that determined the leak may be coming from the flashing where the roof meets the house since water immediately poured into our house when that area was sprayed with a hose. I email this statement and called Bay to Bay again. They came out again, did some shoddy work and then claimed "everyone blames the roofer". Well, water still continued to soak our wall and floor inside our dining room every hard rain for months and months. Not knowing 100%the cause and our roofer claiming it's not a roof issue, we attempted to figure it out this mystery ourselves having to hire numerous contractors to attempt to "fix" any possible cause and to repair all the water and drywall damages that ended up costing us a total of $5,000. After my last cry for help after NOTHING stopped the leak and much money, aggregation, worry and time spent, I contacted Bay to bay AGAIN and another worker was sent out and he actually knew the issue was the flashing, repaired it, and said most roofers don't know how to do this properly and it has not leaked ever since. Total proof that a roofer fixed the problem confirms it was the roofer/roof issue that should have been repaired from our first complaint of the leak before all the further damages were done costing us $5,000 of our own money.
Refund of $5,000 for all our unnecessary attempts to fix the problem ourselves with hired contractors, for repair of all the water damage and compensation for all the worry, time, aggregation and stress this has caused our family. Every penny of that $5,000 was spent due to our roofer not identifying the source of the leak even when pointed out with a leak detection company evaluation. We had no option but to keep spending money having work done while water continued to soak our wall and floor, to determine the actual cause of the leak since Bay to Bay claimed it was not their issue only to actual have THEM fix the leak 3 years later despite us telling them it was a roof issue from the beginning.

RE: Case ***
Bay to Bay Roofing, Inc.
Dear Ms Blue:
I am in receipt of your letter, dated June 20, 2018, addressed to my client, Bay to Bay Roofing, Inc. regarding a complaint filed by ***.
I had previously written a response letter to *** regarding her letter to my client, which had expressed the same demand out lined in her letter to the Revdex.com. A copy of my letter to *** is enclosed for your records.
Bay to Bay Roofing sent out a number of employees and hired outside contractors to track the source of the leak, Ultimately, a leak was isolated to an area of wood and aluminum fascia that dives into a vertical block wall, below the roof line. This area had not been properly maintained by the homeowner and had to be caulked and painted. The area of the leak did not have anything to do with the roof system that was installed by Bay to Bay Roofing, Inc.
Although I explained Bay to Bay's findings to *** in the enclosed letter, she failed to acknowledge in her letter to the Revdex.com our communications on the issue.
Even if Bay to Bay Roofing, Inc. had been ***'s claims for "aggravation" and "stress" are not compensable damages under contract law in Florida. As a result, my client has closed its file and will not pay ***'s demands.
Sincerely,
*** A. S>

Bay to Bay Inc's lawyer, Mark Spence has made a faulty statement in his response letter to my complaint. He claims Bay to Bay sent out hired contractors to fix the leak. Where are the receipts and statements provided of those contractors exhibiting the problem and it findings of our concern? We too hired multiple contractors seeking an answer to this roof leak ***, the owner, was negligent to find. In addition, Mark Soense claims it was wood and facial that needed repaired. The only thing in this area which is outside of our home, is stucco brick and roof. The area that was finally fixed was no where near the Dacia and there is/was no weird anywhere near this area. The leak completely involved the flashing of the roof which is indeed at the roof line. Mr. Spence made a erroneous claim stating the problem was below the roof line.
Furthermore, he again gives false statements saying the area was caulked and painted. What was caulked and painted? The roof? The brick? The only thing caulked was by bay to bay added around the gutter as they claimed that could be the cause of the leak. ( it still leaked after they caulked it) Bay to Bay and its lawyer have made multiple false claims about their negligence to cover up their huge mistake that caused us $5,000 additional to this new roof, attempting to find the cause if the leak. I submitted just two of many photos to explain where this occurred. It was to the left of the brick up where the roof meets the house. This is where the flashing was finally, after 2.5 years, correctly repaired to stop to leak. Nothing was painted or caulked to stop any such leak as falsely claimed by Bay to Bay in hopes of them easily dismissing their problem.
In sept 2017 I contacted bay to bay for an estimate on replacing my roof.
In March they contacted me that they could do the job for less because
They could add onto another big job. They came out and gave me a price
Of $6250. The original price was $8230. I signed the contract and gave a deposit
Of $600. The next day I got a call that they couldnt do it for that price
And it would be the original price. I called them back and wasn't able to reach anyone
Until today. Anthony told me that they couldnt do it and I was being a
Predator. I felt it was s bate and switch deal. Never so insulted in my life.
This is a terrible way to do business.
Other (requires explanation) To be held to the contracted price it was there mistake not mine
We are sorry that Mrs. feel this way. Unfortunately our company is being punished simply because we tried to help a customer. As Mrs. said, we were called out to her home right after the hurricane. Our estimator who went out was new, and while he is good and trained, at the timeit was one of the first few homes he went too on his own, primarily because of the demand due to Irma. He gave a quote and had been in touch with Mrs. a few times in 2017. When there was an opportunity to get some volume pricing for the materials Mrs. was interste din, her Rep contacted her out of good faith and wanting to help her. When he reworked the estimate, he did not realize that his original measurements were incorrect. As soon as he turned it in and a field supervisor saw it, he called her back immediately and explained everything. He was very upset about it, and she was actually not angry with him at all and said she'd talk to her husband. His mismeasurment made the original estimate the correct price to begin with. Had she signed in September, we would have caught it then as well, and corrected it based on current pricing and availability at the time. There was no bait and switch what so ever, just a mistake by a young man who made a human error. As I said, she was not angry with our rep when he told her, just disappointed, understandably. But when she called in the office the next day, it was a completely different situation. I don't know if someone put a bug in her head to accuse us of taking advantage of elderly or bait and switch or what, but she was completely different. We even tried t offer her an extra $200 off of her original estimate to make u p for our mistake, but she wanted it at the price that would have us losing thousands. We are not multi national corporation that can absorb those kinds of losses. We are a locally owned and operated business who employers local folks and do our part to contribute positively to our community. We deliver high quality roofing systems at a great value and stand behind our work. Some times employees make a mistake in measuring or otherwise, they are human, we all make them. We had absolutely no reason to try and bait and switch or treat Mrs. or anyone else unfairly or trick them into doing business with us. We are several months backlogged as it is because of our quality and service. We simply had a rep who made a mistake and who is punished, along with the company because he was trying to be helpful to someone before the rainy and hurricane season started. We hope that Mrs. will eventually realize this, he just made a mistake, and we, as a company, can not absorb that expensive or miscalculation and still stay in business long term. We also hope that anyone reading will realize that it was our commitment to service and going above and beyond help customers that got us in to this position, simply because of an overlooked mis-measurement , from a new employee trying to help the area recover from a hurricane nearly 9 months ago.
I had a roof installed on my lanai in November, and its still leaking.
On October 18, 2017 I met with Mr. Geno Hanson during his visit to my home to evaluate a roofing job on the lanai. I explained to Geno what was going on and he went over the plans to cover the existing roof and this would remedy the problem. After the 1st rain in November I called the company to let them know that the roof was still leaking; it was around the holiday, I left a message. Someone got back to me and they sent someone (Mel) out to check it. She got up there and did a few things and left. The next rain right after it leaked again... to make a long story short my roof is still leaking after many trips out here from the foreman and the installer over 6 times now and the problem still exists.
At this time I've not paid the company, because the work isn't complete and as they keep coming out; the problem is getting worse not better. My last call to the company was on or about January 9th 2018, and no one has come yet, but it'll be soon. My biggest fear is that they will make a bigger problem out of what started as a small fix according to the salesman.
I would like a rebate for the incomplete work, so I can hire another business to come out and complete the work.
We have been out and fixed all concerns and the owner has paid in full
Failure to repair roof or address the problem , multiple promises unkept
Roof continues to leak after a month, no response from company It's raining in my living room. They came to repair my roof a month ago and all they did was make it worse. So, now it is raining in my living romm and dining room. Many calls to them ignored, many promises, told 5 times that someone would come back out and fix it . . No one ever shows up.. Even the owner had appointment with me and never showed up.. No call backs.. nothing. My ceiling is being damaged more with every rainfall. Also price gouged me 3 days before a hurricane. Other companies charge $75-$150 to secure a ridge vent, Curtis W., their salesman charged me a whopping $450!! Then demanded a 10% down payment to lock me in and to prevent me from calling other companies.. He knew the hurricane was heading for us and that I had a roof leak and was worried about the ceiling collapsing.. I am a Senior living on Social Security and cant afford to lose this much money when it's still leaking... let alone the cost to repair the damaged to the ceiling after they have ignored the problem for so many weeks..
Refund.. to hire a company who does quality work and provides customer service. This company doesnt give a damn about either
