I visited Battleground Kia after viewing their online site that listed several models in the 13,500 - 15,100 price range. When I arrived, I showed them their ad and expressed my interest in only those cars. My only request was what would the final price be for the selected auto. Sales lady needed manager to give me quote. Was there for 2 hours, even test drove a different car but not once did I imply any interest in any other vehicle. Finally, sales lady presents me with a quote on the one we test drove of close to 20,000. So I left and revisited the online site that actually showed the Burlington NC store in the background. I filled out the online request referencing a particular vehicle to see if I could get favorable results. I received a call from Lauren, Battleground Kia's Internet Sales Consultant. I asked her one simply question, "Do you have this car for this price". She replied, "Yes sir, we have several in that price range". I said "I am not interested in any other car, just this one. I repeated "Do you have this car at this price". She replied "yes". I request she provide me with a final price to include taxes, insurance, etc and she stated she would consult manager and get me the info by next day. Next morning, I get a call from the sales lady but not Lauren. I called Lauren and told her I did not wish to work with the sales lady and only wanted the final price. She then connected me with the Sales Manger who proceeded to tell me that the pricing was a mistake and they could not sale the car at the quoted price. I asked her why no one along the chain would tell me this. She only offered an apology, no explanation. My belief is that the add was intentional, not a mistake, and is part of their underhanded sales tactics. Reputable companies that have viable products do not need to resort to this type of behavior. I will NEVER buy a car from those people. Shame on you Battleground Kia.
Absolutely HORRIBLE dealership. Worst I have EVER seen in over 40 years. Tried to charge me $1733.50 in tack on dealership fees on a used car purchase, refused to honor pre-approved financing, refused to even call the finance company. Car I test drove had 28,000 miles on it, Dings and scratches all over it, dirty interior, bad front brakes, popping clutch pedal, no power at all in engine (VVT valve inside ending had failed - very common on this 2.0 liter engine). Claimed everything was OK with car, and REFUSED to put it on a lift or in the shop to check it out. Ran my credit over 5X even when I told them that financing was pre-approved and it was not necessary. I personally know all 5 lenders that they ran it with, and will not do business with any of them. I was pre-approved.. so why bother, this was supposed to be sign and drive. Their payment was $20-30 more than the finance company agreed on, and the fees added to the contract were unethical and illegal.... Sign on door stated they were charging these fees but very dishonest...AVOID LIKE A PLAGUE
We bought a 2013 Kia Sorento exactly one year ago. In that years time the Kia has been taking in for repairs five times. Two months after buying the Kia is started making a funny noise. Kia of *** decided the Kia needed a new engine. One week after Kia replaced the engine under warranty the noise came back. Kia of *** then decides the AC compressor needs replaced. Two weeks after the compressor was replaced the noise came back. I dropped the Kia off to be looked at and a short time after received a call that the noise was normal. Could I come show them the noise. I go by Kia a back the vehicle up 15 feet and tell them that the noise is not normal. After that then Kia of *** decides belts ect. needs replaced. Roughly a month after that the noise comes back along with lights on the dash for abs, traction control and so on. If you read the reviews, hundreds of owners have had the same problem with this model. Now Battleground Kia has the vehicle and is saying that the pulley, blah blah blah needs replaced. So now it's been a year of trying to fix my Kia, $1,800 dollars later Kia still cant guarantee this will fix the noise. Kia has shown that the vehicle didn't need a new engine, a new compressor, new belts ect and probably not a pulley. Its making the same noise since month two. You can't get anywhere with a store manager. DM'S do not return email or phone calls and Kia doesn't accept responsibly for being wrong. I will add the sales person was great but if you are deciding between a Kia or another make. Go with the other make because *** and Battleground Kia's service department or not professional or knowledgeable in engine repairs.
I had the pleasure of meeting with a few of the staff members. Let me tell you, the BEST car buying experience I’ve ever had in my life! Nico (Salesman) was exceptionally helpful and was VERY professional. I told him what I wanted, what I had and he done leg work to MAKE it happen! Ben (Sales manager) worked some magic with the Used Car Manager, Dustin, and Dustin was the last one to get through to make the final decision on the car I wanted. I owe this man my life! I had a unique situation and they were the answers to my prayers! Eric (Finance Manager) was very knowledgeable and very professional during our transaction. Kristie (customer service) informed me of my first oil change being on them! She reassured me that if I had any problems, to give her a call and she’d take care of me! I wish I could give 10 stars. Battleground Kia will be my number 1 go to for every car purchase from this point on. I was in and out in less then 2 hours (no financing). I left with a freshly detailed blue 2012 Kia Optima SX Turbo with a full tank of gas on them!!! Every single one of you guys deserve the world!

I drove from Greenville, SC to Battleground Kia on 6/30/2018 to purchase a vehicle that I had been communicating with a salesman over the phone about. I had pre-approved financing from *** which I told my salesman up front after I test drove the vehicle. He had me fill out a credit application because *** requires the dealer to submit it with the vehicle deal information. When I filled out the credit application I informed him that I only wanted to go through ***. Initially, he came back with finance numbers that were different than stated on the *** mobile app and we did not agree. Then he told me that his manager was going to submit my credit profile to another company to see if they would provide better terms. We eventually finalized my deal through *** as I had requested from the beginning. I began to get credit inquiry alerts within the next 3 - 5 days and rejection/denial letters in the mail. The Sales Manager (I don't remember his name) had run my credit through 23 different lenders without my permission. Once I contacted these companies to dispute, I received a call from the salesman asking if I was disputing inquiries. I told him yes because I only wanted to go through *** as I came to the dealership with a pre-approval in hand and I did not authorize my credit to be ran through that egregious amount of lenders. 19 lenders responded that the inquiry was authorized and would not delete. The following are the lenders that will not remove these unauthorized inquiries:
In an effort to resolve any issues Battleground Kia has called Ms. to speak with her in regards to the transaction that took place in June 2018. Her Voice Mail box is full and BGK could not leave a voicemail. We ask that she please call and speak with a manager to go over the details of her deal and find out exactly what happened and how we can answer any questions that she has.
Thanks,

This business had sold me a used vehicle 6 months ago. I had purchased an extended warranty through them as well. When I was having a problem with the vehicle I called Battleground Kia and made an appointment with them to take my vehicle in and have it looked at. I took my vehicle in and they worked on my vehicle. Well, through all of this ordeal of being told that it's ready and then receiving another back from Battleground Kia saying that they want to keep my vehicle a little longer so that they can make sure that everything is right. I had finally had gotten my vehicle back from them. I flew out to California the day after picking up my vehicle on 11/15/18. I returned back to North Carolina on 11/22/18. I have only drove my vehicle for just a couple of days until it shut down on me Thursday (11/29/18). I called the warranty people instantly and they had called a tow truck to come and pick up my vehicle. Once my vehicle was towed to Cresent Ford in High Point that is where the faulty mechanical work was detected. Battleground Kia has potentially put my life and my kids lives in danger.
Battleground Kia is working diligently to address all of Ms. concerns. We have reached out to Ms. and are scheduling the appointment to come in. Ms. purchased a Vehicle Service Contract. It can take weeks for these companies to complete the claim process. Battleground Kia has filed her claim. In an effort to resolve any issues we need Ms. to bring the vehicle in so our Service department can look at it and fix. Battleground Kia will pay for the cost of towing if the vehicle cannot be driven here.
Thanks.
1st of all let me just say that the only reason I drove 3 hours out of my way to go to this dealership was because they promised me a certain dollar value for a trade in, which was certified by Kelley Blue Book. To be quite frank they didn’t even honor this deal, but I was tired and just wanted my car.
2nd : Anthony M the sales person wasted so much time moving around vehicles I didn’t even get to enjoy my experience because very little time was spent showing me the actual cars and making sure he put back the cars where they were unconventionally parked.
3rd when the deal finally was over and I left the dealership that lead to a whole month long battle with my previous car Lien holder and this dealership. No one ever followed up with me regarding anything, I kept getting lied to day after day that they had mailed the check to my previous bank and my temporary tags were fine. Meanwhile I’m getting harassed 24/7 by my old bank stating that they can’t do anything until Battleground Kia funds the account.
Finally after a whole month of countless unanswered emails, lying staff and misguided follow up the loan is just now closing. This dealership has terrible staff and no one follows up once they make their sale. I respect everyone’s experience is different, but this however is FOR SURE the worst car buying experience of my entire life and I would never purchase a car from there again. I wouldn’t even get my oil changed there.
I’m glad someone finally stepped up and did something that should have been done the day I signed my papers, but that only occurred after I threatened to contact the owner, which always resolves the issue because who wants to be accountable for that.
The sales team at battleground Kia ran my credit 24 hard times yes 24 times and I was only a co signer , after noing I was not going to buy a car . I called the dealership a number of time for them to say “they do not no who’s runny my report” . The only dealership I went to was Battleground Kia in Greensboro, nc . I WILL NEVER USE BATTLEGROUND KIA .
And I do not recommend no one to use this dealership they will only run your credit report to try and bring your score down if you don’t pay 500 or 600 dollars per month for there car . I also made sure I challenged everyone of there 24 fraudulent inquired that I did not approve for them to do . I only approved for them to run one inquiry from my report . It has to be a law put in place so places like battleground Kia of Greensboro NC do not do such things to the regular hard working citizen to bring there credit score down .
4 weeks ago I went into battleground kia to look at new cars, while there they offered to refinance my car to get a lower rate. As they were doing the paperwork, the paperwork showed they owned my car and I was buying it off of them. I pointed this out and was told that was how it had to look for refinance purposes. They also asked for my next car payment which they said they would pay to my current car lender so it would be on time and listed that payment as a "down payment". All legal documents were signed and copies given to me. 4 days later they told me I needed to come back in and sign more papers. once there they stated they had listed my car as precertified but since it never was they had to change that and that the new payment would go up $4.00 a month. I unwillingly signed stating this sounded shady, but they reassured me that it was their error and would take care of the refinancing. Today, 3 weeks later, I get a call from Battleground Kia stating sorry, we couldn't get your car refinanced but they would be glad to put me in a new car. They then informed me that they never made the payment to my previous lender (even though the took the money immediately) and that I am now 17 days late on a payment!! They have totally ruined my credit that I have been working on for years to make better. I spoke with my current lender and explained the situation and I now have 13 days to get their payment in to them once I get my money back.
Ms. came in to look at a New Kia Soul Plus at Battleground Kia. Unfortunately when the negotiations started it was evident that the payments were more than Ms. wanted to pay. Refinancing was then brought up. In an effort to help Ms. lower her payments Battleground Kia tried to refinance her current loan. Refinancing a car is when a new loan is used to payoff an existing one. Unfortunately the Bank would not Refinance Ms.. Ms. down payment of $495.00 is being returned to her. In an effort to help Battleground Kia has even offered to deliver the funds to Ms.. Battleground Kia wants to help all of its customers. Customer service and satisfaction are extremely important to us! Ms. is welcome to call and we can answer any questions or concerns that she has.
Warmest Regards,
Battleground Kia.
I went in to purchase a vehicle with my father who had cosigned on the vehicle with me. First I was presented some figures on a vehicle shook hands with the manager and associate agreeing on a specific price. When it came down to the paperwork another number $4,000 more than what was agreed upon. I almost signed on the dotted line but my father caught the mistake. As per contract and our deal there was supposed to be a sunroof and automatic start was supposed to be installed on the vehicle before I purchased. I was told by them that they have no loaner vehicles that I should take this one as my loaner until they are ready to do the work on it. I had to basically look for the associate to get this work done. Not only did I have to hunt them down to get the work done, but it is also 3 weeks from the time that I signed on the dotted line to purchase the vehicle. I received a call from the associate that went like this. "Hey *** we have got your car back in but tops and trends *** up something on your sun roof they will get it fixed for you though. Just come get your car and bring ours back in and you can call them and set up an appointment to get your vehicle fixed". I informed them that I would take delivery of my vehicle until everything is put on the car and done right as per contract. After this I received some forceful text messages letting me know I had to bring the loaner back in because someone wanted to purchase the vehicle they had me in. I would still have to take the one I signed up for which was still not completed properly. I told them I refuse to take my vehicle in the condition its in and I need another loaner vehicle and they pretty much got very nasty with me after this and didn't want to get me another loaner although they did in the end the sales associate went about it very rude. His last comment in my text messages show " Yea we good but I ain't being disrespectful or nun next time ask me instead of telling me what you want okay?"
We have responded to Mr. and all has been taken care of. We wish Mr. the best and hope Mr. and family have a wonderful holiday season. A message was sent back to the Revdex.com and we called and spoke to a representative as well. Please let us know if there is anything else that needs to be done.
Warmest Regards,

It is amazing to me how car dealership get over on people, I purchased a used 2016 Chevy Impala LT on March 29, 2018, 8 Days later I am having problems with the engine. Car dealership will pull that shop delivery scam which I don’t think that happen to me but people have went to Battleground KIA and have had to give back there cars back. This place is fishy. One hand they help you if you have A1 credit but if you have terrible credit they do what ever it takes to sell the car or make you happy but in the long run it cause a lot of heartache and pain. I am not happy with my car from them. I should have kept my 2015 Chevy Sonic I had no power windows in my old car but AT LEAST THE ENGINE LIGHT WONT ON. One thing everyone there was NICE that best thing I can say
I was told that I could refinance the car I bought. But come to find out they put me in an upside down balloon payment. I cannot get out of this car or payment. The car is only worth 8000 dollars and still owe 22000 dollars. It is 2016 Kia Optima. I do not know what to do. Thank you
I originally bought this car three months ago from an employee who was working at the dealership he sold me the car the next day he quit. I had already signed documentation with a financial advisor at this dealership locking in my payment at $601 with a 9.7 interest rate. Note this was on a Friday. The following Tuesday the general sales manager contacted me at the time his name was Glenn and told me he need me to come in to finish up the paperwork for the vehicle that had just purchased and informed me that the sales person had quit. I went and signed paperwork thinking it was the same paperwork that was provided to Me the Friday I had originally gone in to purchase the car. I signed all the paperwork and Glen told me that everything was fine and that my rate would be $601 a month at a 9.7% interest rate
I received my first invoice to Make my first car payment and saw that the payment was $683 so I immediately called the dealership and asked to speak to Glenn and I was informed that he no longer work there which keep in mind he was the sales manager at this location. So the last two months I have gone back-and-forth calling and speaking with different people requesting that I speak with a manager about the situation and nobody will return my phone call. I finally got in touch with the new general manager of sales today and he told me because he had just been working there now one month there was nothing he could do about the situation because he just couldn’t so in this situation I feel like it’s not right and it’s not fair because they keep hiring and firing people and the managers there are making promises to people and falsifying documentation so I’m seeking your help in this situation with the money I am Losing from the situation
Good Morning,
Ms. purchased a kia sportage on 8/10/2017. The client signed paperwork on the deal and the payment is $683.00 per month furthermore Ms. signed the finance contract for that monthly payment. She has reached out regarding a refinance of her current finance contract and there is nothing we can do to facilitate a refinance at this time without some cash investment from the customer.

I am rejecting this response because: What he is saying is not true and this gentleman when I spoke to him on the phone is a new manager and was very rude to me was texting his family because they were sick and didn’t understand the severely of the situation in Lou of him saying I wanted to refinance that’s not true
I have attempted several times to talk to management there and the new manager offered me to refinance and I said absolutely not and he kind of brushed me off like he really didn’t care about the situation and I do not believe that he understands the severity of it also he informed me that there was nothing he could do and he’s not the top manager there so therefore I am requesting that we speak with someone higher up because this deal has changed hands too many times. Also the response they gave to you is untrue. I didn’t request a refinance
Mrs. purchased the vehicle that she has now from Battleground Kia. We have looked into her situation on at least two occasions to see if we could help her lower her payment. We have looked at the idea of trading her into a different vehicle with a lower payment and, unfortunately, we are not able to do so without additional cash down from Mrs.. We have also looked at the possibility of helping her refinance the current vehicle that she owns in order to lower her monthly payment but that would also require additional cash down from Mrs.. Anytime a customer of ours wants to try to lower their payment, we always look first at the possibility of trading the current vehicle for another vehicle with a lower monthly payment or refinancing the current vehicle with a lower monthly payment. If she didn't ask about the possibility of refinancing then nothing was harmed by us looking at the possibility of helping her lower her payments on her current vehicle. Everything we looked at was in an attempt to help her with situation. We do wish that we could help her lower her monthly payment but the only option that we can find requires an additional cash investment due to the current equity position.
I am rejecting this response because:
All of this I didn’t request. This is a fake response from the dealership
I don't think it's right that this company approved me for a car has me sign papers drive home the car only to tell me a couple days later that they all of a sudden have a problem. Mind you prior to starting all this they told me what to bring in and I did only to find out they are still having a problem . I think this is very bad business and I would never recommend them to anyone let alone use them again either. I hate dishonest people and they just proved this to me.
We make every possible effort to be transparent with our customers. I personally spoke to this customer and made it clear that at 9pm in the evening, there weren't any banks that I could communicate with and that we would start working on acquiring the final financing for them the next morning first thing.
We have been in communication with the customer this entire time to let them know that we were still working on getting the loan approved and have been having difficulty getting the banks to accept the proof of income that was provided.
What ultimately is approved or denied, either in financing terms or paperwork provided by the customer is totally at the bank's discretion. The customer signed a conditional delivery agreement at the time of delivery that explains this and states that nothing is final until the bank has accepted and approved all documents and terms. So, in addition to me explaining this verbally, we also have a signed document from the customer that further explains the process and would be happy to provide a copy of that if needed.
It is never our goal to have an unhappy customer, but ultimately, the customer has to qualify for the loan and then provide necessary paperwork to acquire that loan after it is approved. Unfortunately, neither of those things are within our control as a dealership and therefore the responsibility falls solely on the customer.
