I would like to make a formal complaint about Battlefield Towing in [redacted] VA. My car was towed from my neighborhood because I did not have my parking pass in the window. This is my fault and I will accept all blame for having my car towed. When I went to pick my car up the man at the front desk needed to call the tow truck driver who had towed my car to find out where on the lot it was located. He had the tow truck driver on speaker phone asking him where my vehicle was, the tow truck driver refused to say my license plate number because I am a [redacted] fan with a personalized [redacted] plate. The guy at the front desk said to the tow truck driver "you must not be a [redacted] fan" and the tow truck driver, who was on speaker phone said "Why do you think he is paying $160 to get his car back?" The guy working the front desk said "Hey, man the guy is standing right here and heard you!" I just want to make it clear that this is COMPLETELY unprofessional and why charge someone more because they are a fan of a certain football team? I get that you towed my car, but why follow up with a nasty comment about why I paid so much to get my car back? That was unnecessary and to be honest made me feel as if I was being targeted because I prefer a certain football team. I must say that I am ashamed that this company is still in business after hearing all of the previous complaints about the company. I know tow truck drivers go through a lot and probably don't have the nicest conversations with people, but clearly the remarks I heard myself on the phone were rude and discriminating. I also followed up by calling back and talking to a manager and telling them I wanted to report the person who said those comments on the phone, the man at the front desk follow up with "I do not recall that happening on the phone" I said to him I just left there with my car and you were the one who I dealt with. The man started studdering, and could not completely turn the conversation around because he had just lied about the conversation he knows happened on the phone. I advised him I wanted to speak with a manager and he said "I am the manager" I told him then I need him to let that guy know what he said that completely unprofessional and rude to say the least. Needless to say, this company should no longer be in business or needs some sort of Customer Service Program to learn how to speak to people.Desired Settlement: Again, I accept responsibility for having my car towed due to the fact that I did not have my parking pass hanging on the mirror. However, I have to say that with the comment I heard from the guy on the phone as a PAYING CUSTOMER, I think I should have a written apology and a full refund due to the nature of the man on the phone. I can understand paying a small sum to get my car back, but to make me pay a higher amount because of who I follow for a football team is absurd.
