The issue is that the warranty is non-transferable, and the receipt is what would validate the warranty, in addition we could not reimburse without knowing what the purchase price was

We can do a one-time courtesy replacement for the necessary parts The warranty is non-transferable, and only to the original purchaser All further claims would require parts be purchased We would have no control over how previous owners treated or potentially abused the product

We attempted on Friday 10/20/to contact the customer directly

I am rejecting this response because: I have to spend $to hire a plumber to try to fix the broken toilet, which is less than one year oldThis is ridiculousAmerican Standard should reimburse the cost

Thank you for your current email Mr*** [redacted] of American Standard called and said they agreed to send me a reimbursement check in the sum of $483.45, the sum I paid for the defective American Standard toilets He said it would be approximately two weeks before the check would come to Sacramento The checks are processed in Tennessee Thank you so much for your assistance I will let you know when I receive the check

We will be offering the customer a different seat

There is nothing further we can offer We have attached the specification sheet showing the dimensions of the toilet, showing the measurements

Unfortunately having the faucet in your possession is not proof of purchase, since the warranty is non-transferable, people who have a American Standard faucet in their house does not prove it was purchased American Standard cannot replace a faucet without knowing who the original purchaser was

We have not experienced any excessive issues with this product, and have deemed a recall is not necessary As we have reimbursed the customer his purchase price, I feel the matter is closed with this individual

We have left numerous messages for the customer's lawyer, and have never received a return call. We will attempt again to contact

The Cadet series toilets do have a year limited warranty This warranty is not transferable and all warranty claims need to have proof of purchase provided A copy of the receipt will be added to the customers file for that and any future warranty claims, it validates and lets us
know how long the warranty will be in effect for, as it is from date of purchase I have however ordered the parts requested as a one-time courtesy, all future warranty claims will required the proof of purchased be added to this persons claim

We have contacted the customer, in order to satisfy her issue, we are replacing her tank with a conventional trip lever tank
