Review: On August 29th 2011 I took a Gibson and a Recording King banjo to Stevie Barr of Barrs Fiddle shop. Stevie and I agreed that he would put the two banjos up for sale in his store and send me the money once he sold them. I told him I had to have 1900.00 for the Gibson banjo and 550.00 for the Recording King banjo. He then wrote me a receipt showing the prices and the dates, etc. Since then, he has paid me in full for the Gibson after sending me multiple payments over the course of a year. Around October 2012, I asked about my Recording King banjo, he informed me that an employee of his had sold my banjo to a customer with the agreement the customer would come back and make payments for the banjo. This had taken place many months prior and he did not inform me of it, only when I called and said I wanted to come and get that banjo back, did he then tell me this story. He also informed me he has not heard anything from this customer in months and its obvious the guy wasn't coming back to pay him for it. Stevie Barr also told me he had tried to get a warrant in debt against the guy, but he couldn't track the customer down. Stevie promised me he would pay me for my banjo and asked that I give him time to come up with the money he owed me which was 550.00. He expressed that his employee should have never let my banjo go to that customer until it had been paid. I expressed how disappointed I was with him since I never agreed to let the banjo go under those conditions. He was to sell it for whatever price he could get for it and pay me the 550.00 out of that. So now I don't have a banjo and no money for it. He promised me he would send me payments and he has paid me 160.00 of that 550.00, leaving a balance due to me of 390.00, But that was last year. I haven't received any payment at all in 5 months. I call him and he never returns calls and rarely returns texts. When I do get him on the phone he promises me he will send a check out that week and nothing ever comes. He's made that promise a lot.Desired Settlement: For Barrs Fiddle Shop to pay me the 390.00 balance due on my banjo they sold over a year ago.

Mr. Barr states this was a personal deal between the consumer and Mr. Barr not a business deal with Barrs Fiddle Shop. Mr. Barr has been paying on the account and will continue to pay until it is paid in full.

These items were to be sold in Barrs Fiddle Shop on consignment, if they didnt sell I could come back and get them. I have a Barrs Fiddle Shop receipt from the day I dropped off the two instruments there on consignment. Also I have copies of five Barrs Fiddle Shop checks that were mailed to me as payments. I have never received a personal check of any kind as payment. This should prove it is not a personal deal. I have been paid for the first instrument in full, but when I tried to come get my second instrument, I was informed it had been sold months prior, but he couldn't pay me for it because the customer that bought it never came back and paid Barrs Fiddle Shop for the balance. He said it was his employee's mistake for letting my instrument leave his store without being paid in full and he would send me the balance as soon as he could. The last payment I received was a check from Barrs Fiddle Shop dated October 21st 2012. It has been eight months since I have received any payment. The balance is $390.00. It has been very difficult to contact or get a response from Stevie, when I do contact he promises a payment is on its way, but of course it never arrives and this has gone on since last year. Review: ordered a hat on 9-9-14. waited long period of time without any delivery or why it was taking so long for order to be completed. contacted seller. was told product was out of stock. told seller I would wait a little longer. waited until 12-14. told seller to cancel order & credit my acct. kept getting message from seller that he would be getting hat any time. waited longer, still nothing & more excuses. just want to get problem solved & money back.Desired Settlement: want amount credited back to [redacted] acct.

The customer ordered a hat that is out of stock but I have ordered it. I told customer that I would send it to him when it came in from the hat company plus I would send him his money back plus the hat for our delay. Very sorry that his experience with us was not good. Such a shame that someone would complain over a $15 hat. Especially when I'm giving his money back and a hat. Some of us Americans have grown to be very impatient and non understanding. Hope this customer enjoys his free hat

I don't know what info you were given, but, the only response I received from barr's fiddle shop was more excuses. I have not received a credit to my acct. or received the hat. I did tell the owner that I would gladly retract my complaint if I received either. I have been getting the run around for over 5 mos. now. I'm starting to rethink about retracting the complaint if I ever receive anything. I will start looking at what other options I have. I'm getting really tired of the whole situation.Regards,

The item he is waiting on is a hat. The company I get the hats from told me I would have it but I didn't get them because they were still backordered. Mrs [redacted] will get his hat and also a refund check no matter what, even if he doesn't want to retract his complaint. I didn't file a complaint on this other company even though they was supposed to have had my stiff to me by now. So sorry for the bad experience.

complaint will be resolved when or if I receive the product I paid for 7 mos. ago or a refund. have been hearing excuses for too long & gave business ample time & options to solve complaint. as I told business previously, I will drop complaint when I receive product or get a refund.
