Settlement money has not been payed to me and there has been no communication from my attorney for weeks now.
I would like my settlement check. I was told by my attorney checks would be mailed before December 2019. That didn't happen. Then, I was told it was checks being mailed beginning of January, then end of January 2020. It is almost March 2020. I have received no settlement check and it appears my attorney is not answering my texts anymore. I want to know what is going on. You are withholding MY settlement money. I don't want to go the legal route in settling this, but I will if this situation is not remedied soon. This is not how your clients should be treated. My settlement money isn't for you to sit on and get rich off of through interest.
Please remedy ASAP.
I want my check and I want to know what is going on.

Sorry a big fat 0 in my book these people are crooks say they are going to help you receive what you are entitled to is a crock.

I signed with Baron and Budd in regards to my mesh issues. After signing, I had multiple surgeries and have even been put on disability all before my case was offered a settlement. I accepted the settlement ( less than a years salary after all the things the victim pays for. That's another issue not something that Baron and Budd are responsible for). I got the bare minimum while some was held back for insurance litigation. I understand this process and accept it, what I don't accept is that when I call to update my address or verify if my missing mail came from them or just to check on things since I was told in February that things were settled and they were waiting for signatures to finalize things and it is now October and still communication is lacking. After leaving more than 13 messages in 2 months, I finally get a return call from someone who wasn't even knowledgeable about my case. I informed her that I was turning then into the bar on Friday, Monday, miss a call from them and call them back on Tuesday and am told that the lawyer had reached out to this third party that they use and when they hear back, they will contact me. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no information and I contacted this 3rd party also. I was told they have everything they need to "finalize" my case and send it for payment so here I sit after having to sell everything and only being able to keep my care, and now don't even have enough to pay rent somewhere and am homeless with the weather getting colder I am worried about where I will live.
I want to know exactly what is going on, the steps for completion, and how those steps are going to happen.

Failure to follow through on a legal matter involving mesh.
Many years ago I contacted Baron and Budd through a t.v. ad they ran regarding mesh implants. I had a mesh implanted in me following a surgery of removing my spleen, appendix and some colon. Shortly after I was contacted by them again informing me they wished to reopen the case of the mesh removal because it shifted and created a fistula and the many infections that ensued. Skin was grafted from my leg and is the only thing keeping my stomach inside. I have no stomach muscles. They informed me the mesh used is one being investigated. I again sent them documents and signature approvals so they could acquire and documents they needed. I now have no colon and have to wear an ileostomy bag. The biggest problem is now the statute of limitations has expired and they suggest I get another lawyer. They did nothing for me or on my behalf in my opinion and I am broke, in pain and discomfort and because I thought they were working on my behalf I did not reach out to another law firm and now its too late. ***: *** Oh. For Baron and Budd to follow up on my behalf and sue the mesh company .
Re: Case # XXXXXXXX
Products liability and personal injury lawsuits dealing with pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices is a complex area of law. As the litigation matures, the types of cases that are accepted or closed evolve. Unfortunately, client's particular product fell into the category of meshes that were under considerable debate as to whether or not it was subject to the current focus of this litigation. Our client's concerns regarding the handling of his claim and his statute of limitations have been addressed with him under attorney-client privilege.
