Barefoot Marine Construction (Jacksonville FL) Bulkhead
We recently (February 2024) had Barefoot Marine Construction build a bulkhead in our backyard by our lake. Rick, the owner, came out the same day we called him to advise. We were very happy with the crew he sent: Zach, Zeb, Sebastian, and Joshua. They were knowledgeable, courteous, did great work, and answered our questions. The price was competitive, and work was completed in a timely manner; even the cleanup was great. We recommend them highly!

Please provide a name and/or invoice number so that we can view the details of the correct job. We repair 15-25 boats a week and several have injector problems.
For a general response;
1. We fully warranty all of our work, I have never...
repaired injectors that were not in need of the service and documentation of the performance of the injectors before and after service is available for every injector repair I have done and is ALWAYS provided to the customer.2. We have not nor have we ever disappeared.
3. We do not "scam" anyone. All of the work we perform is discussed with the customer prior to commencement and the diagnosis is backed with computer diagnosis and reports of the defective items before and after repair. (in the case of injectors)
4. Based on the alleged cost from the complainant there were injectors replaced with new along with injectors repaired. This only happens when the fuel system has severely deteriorated.
5. Again, based on the alleged cost and the time passed the majority of the bill is for new parts and will not be refunded based on our published warranty terms.
6. We handle warranty issues and unhappy customers with the highest priority, we do not ignore calls, disappear, or scam anyone.
7. The alleged cost of this complaint does not make sense, a computer generated invoice is created with every job performed by Barefoot Marine and sales tax is automatically added. 2 bills coming to exactly $700 is unusual and does not exist in our database under any one customer.
8. If a sensor was bad at the time of repair we would have definitely been aware through the computer diagnostic that checks all sensors on fuel injected motors and we would have definitely replaced it. After all, that is what we do. The undefined sensor would not have fallen under warranty unless we had already replaced it and would have been addition work and billed at our full rate, based on the minimal information provided.
Sincerely,
Barefoot Marine
[redacted] does outstanding work and really knows what he is doing. He has helped keep my late model Yamaha 25 four stroke outboard going for years. He has changed my impeller, oil, lower oil, and helped me with figuring our a bad electrical connection that was just from corrosion. He works fast, and doesn't leave a mess. For his experience and knowledge and for what he charges he is doing you a favor if likes you and you are easy to work with. He is one salty dude that knows what it means to be on the water.
