complaint about the computation of the amount withheld from her security deposit for prorated utilities and property taxesWhile it appears that the computation of the utility and property tax withholding made by our property manager was correct, we’ve instructed our property manager to refund the requested $1,663,to Ms*** so as to amicably discharge thls and in consideration for her many years as a tenant of the building we acquired,

Review: We had commercial lease at 535 [redacted] Ave since 1999. Late 2014, the building was sold to Baltoro Waimanu LLC. We had the lease until 8/15, but was told by the property manager to move out as quick as possible without early termination penalty. We found a location to move to and we gave notice of termination 30 days prior and moved out on 3/15/15 and returned the key in the morning of 3/16/15. Our account with utility companies as well as alarm company also ended on 3/15/15. Baltoro Waimanu LLC got our security deposit transferred by previous property owner, and the amount of security deposit is $3,517.28. On 4/7/15, Baltoro Waimanu LLC sent out the refund check for security deposit. They deducted $342.49 which is for our old unit's share of water bill from January to full month of March, and $2715.40, which is full amount of our old unit's share of property tax which covers January till June. I don't think it is right for Baltoro Waimanu LLC to charge us for water bill and property tax bill for the period AFTER our move out date was.According to their letter attachment, Water bill for meter which serves our old unit and one other unit for Jan $241.32 + Feb $210.96 + March $232.71 = $684.99. We are responsible for 1/2 of whole water bill which they calculated as $342.49. However we occupied the unit only until 3/15/15. Therefore we are only responsible $58.18 for month of March.According to their letter attachment, total property tax which was billed by City and County of Honolulu in Feb is $30,171.06. Our old unit is responsible for 9% of property tax, which is $2,715.40. Baltoro Waimanu LLC deduced whole $2,715.40 from our security deposit. According to C&C of Honolulu, Feb bill is covering January to June of this year. We should be responsible only from 1/1/15 till 3/15/15.Desired Settlement: We want to get refund on excess water bill and property tax bill. which comes out to $58.18 (water) + $1,605.00 =$1,663.18
