My insurance called and set everything up and took my truck to bakers on a flatbed. Bakers told me they would call me the next morning to update me, which they did not. Was then told they would call me to let me know when it was ready, and again nothing. I drove over and they said everything thing was done. Yet found nothing wrong only Installed wheels and tires. When I asked about other parts I gave them to replace they didn't do it but said we can for an extra charge. They wanted 450 to install rotors and pads on the rear axel!! Not including parts!!!
Bottom line, piss poor communication, ridiculous pricing. Will never recommend nor will I go back. Bakers automotive is on par with Les Schwab, good for a tire issues but not much more.
***update got halfway home and had to stop due to my driver side rear wheel smoking so bad that a police officer pulled me over. Had toTow my truck home!!!!

As for the Lack of communication we are sorry, holiday weeks are very hectic and you was not scheduled in so we may have drop the ball on calling you , As for your other complaint your truck was brought in with your tire held on by one lug nut we replace your rims as you had asked, we mount and balanced your tire installed them and torqued them to specs. we didn't know about other parts that you wanted installed until you came by, at that time the "other Parts" were not even with your truck, you left to go and get them and I informed you that it is company policy that we do not allow customers to supply there own parts, Most shop don't. I believe this is what made you upset and I understand. We did inform you that if we did install your parts we would charge more you chose not to have us do the repair. As for you having to be towed home I believe you was the one that had did your own repair on that side what ever the case you declined any work besides us mounting and balancing your tires. as for us being on par with Less Schwab, we are a general repair shop not a tire shop. Now to finish this off I have been running a business for 20 years and I have an excellent record for customer service and repairs that are done right, but I know that not every body is able to be completely satisfied. 1st off, when my truck was brought in on a flatbed tow truck. I explained that my truck had wheel fall off it sounded like a bad wheel bearing, and needed to be inspected. You also, already had parts in the truck that were never installed. The "other parts" were something you recommended to be done after and I said I had those too. Then you said, "we don't install customer parts because you couldn't mark up the prices, so you are going to charge more labor to make up for it".
I do understand it was the holiday, so that why you were so dismissive. You also stated that you would take my truck for a test drive. If you had done so, you would have noticed massive amounts of smoke coming from the driver side rear wheel.
I understand you have been doing business for 20 years, but just because you have been doing something for a long period doesn't mean it is the right way.
Had you took a little more time to talk to me (the customer) and took care of my automobile like it was your own we wouldn't be in this situation. Your lack of communication and attention to detail has made your beloved business a subpar name.

Great service friendly owners don't try to sell you services you don't need
