To Whom It May Concern:We are in receipt of your letter dated April 24, 2020 in regards to a recent complaint filed with you. Following please find a timeline of the events and circumstances to date: · Customer signed purchase agreement on September 12, 2019· Customer provided Baird with the permit October 28, 2019· The footer was installed November 26 (after the wet conditions dried enough but not enough to deliver the home). In order to deliver the home, there is a field to cross and then wet bottom area making this a very difficult site· On November 15, 2019 the transport driver #1 met with the customer and was to get with the neighbor to get permission to go across a valley before delivery· December 9, 2019 our manager talked to our customer and relayed a message from the transport driver #1 that it was still very wet and it would have to freeze or be a July dry day before the home can be delivered· Transport driver #1 informed manager driveway too steep, the ground must be froze or hot July day and due to the conditions he refused to deliver· Please be advised Indiana DID NOT experience a ground freeze condition at all this season· The contractor that installed the footer informed our customer at their first meeting in November that they would need to remove an excessive amount of dirt so the home could be set. Our customer did not remove this dirt until April 11 & 12, 2020 which was approximately a week before the original scheduled delivery of the home was to take place· Transport company #2 was hired· On Sunday, April 19, 2020 before the home was to be delivered our customer called the owner of the transport company #2 an excessive amount of times and finally upset him to the point of not being willing to deliver the home· As a result, Baird had to contract a transport company #3 that same week and asked if he could deliver the home and the contractor stated after inspection that it was possible with extra equipment and gravel for the driveway. With gravel, extra equipment and additional labor the contracted amount is approximately an additional $1,500 more· We informed our customers about the new delivery date however it has rained each week preventing delivery until this week· The customers were informed the new scheduled delivery date was May the 7, 2020 weather permitting· The home was delivered May 7, 2020 It is our sincere desire to complete the installation of the home for the benefit of our customer. The customer must take responsibility for those things that were not part of our contract that delayed this installation beyond those which were out of our control. Baird will fulfill our responsibilities to the extent of our contract and only ask that the customer work with us so we may do so expeditiously. Respectfully
