B & W Enterprises

Contracted with B&W Enterprises, [redacted] and [redacted] to have a new roof installed. The initial agreement was $4750.00 to have a 30 year shingle, with weatherguard installed. We wanted a better grade shingle, weather guard (ice guard) and Hip and Ridge Cap shingles installed so a price of $5500.00 was agreed upon with $3000.00 down and $2500.00 upon completion. We were shown 3 shingles to pick from and were in stock:Landmark Premium Designer Shingles - Hunter GreenOwens Corning Oakridge Shingles - Chateau GreenTimberline Lifetime High Definition Shingles - Hunter GreenWe chose the Landmark Premium ($35.00 Bundle). On 09.17.12, a delivery of IKO Cambridge Vintage Green ($26.00 Bundle)arrived. When we questioned the wrong shingles being delivered, we were told that the ones we chose were a 4-5 week delivery wait for them. They had the Landmark Commercial ($31.00 Bundle) in stock but they were not purchased. As an incentive, we were told we would receive a rebate card for $3.00 per bundle X 66 $198.00. The roof was partially torn off so we had no choice but to go with a different shingle so we agreed. The Weather Guard and the Ridge Cap shingles were not delivered either. We had to purchase that out of the $2500.00 balance due. We also gave them a $510.00 advance due to a "hardship" they had. Upon completion, when the rebate was given to us, it was a Contractor only rebate in the form of a check made out to the Contractor Company. I transferred a payment into Wyatt Sampsons account at Community Spirit Credit Union for $1367.00. $1133.00 ($425.00-Supplies, $510.00-Advance, $198.00-Rebate)was deducted from $2500.00. The Weather Guard was not placed correctly and was short on one side of the house. The inferior shingles used, and a substandard job was completed. We should be refunded for the difference of the first and second estimate $750.00, and the contractor is harrassing us saying that we owe them additional money. I filled out te rebate to be mailed to the contractor.
