A lack of judgment and no patient empathy.

After a routine cleaning and check up by an excellent hygienist, Dr. De Leon recommended that I consider a deep cleaning of residual plaque. I'd never heard of such a thing, but I agreed.

The procedure turned out to be not only enormously expensive, but I found it to be exceedingly painful. When I expressed concerns about lingering pain as I left the session, Dr. De Leon at first denied what I was experiencing, she then prescribed a mouthwash which turned out to be a treatment for Gingivitis (which I do not have) as opposed to a reasonable approach to pain management.

And adding insult to injury, a 'deep' cleaning costs a little over $900.00. The Gingivitis medication was $100.00.
