I hired Avrek Law Firm in November 2017 to handle a personal injury case due to a car accident I was in. Due to the fact that there were 3 cars involved and I was not at fault, I felt I needed the help of a firm to get the best resolution from the incident. Since November I have repeatedly asked to be kept in contact with regarding my case, and I have not been kept informed or up to date. I signed one settlement back in May and the second one earlier this month, the firm has both checks and never contacted me to let me know. Last week I had to contact the second insurance company directly to find out that the check had been sent out 10 days prior. The representative I have been speaking with told me in a text message that he had spoken with me and informed me that the last check had come in; he has not contacted me via phone or any other method, nor did he ever disclose that information. When I told him that we did not discuss that and that I was not pleased because I have gotten conflicting information he hung up on me and blocked my number. No one has contacted me. No one has mailed me anything. And I still have not received any of the money that is owed to me. The contract between us states that the settlement is to be split in thirds, between myself, the firm, and medical expenses. They will not release any portion of the money and have seized communication with me.
