AVK Targets

In september of 2019, I came home from work, and atempted to complete work on my laptop,when I started up my laptop I was unable to do anything, due to warning flashing on the screen, stating a virus had been found in the laptop and to call this number to resolve issue. I was unable to do anything on the computer, and the warning was very loud, like a siren When I called the number I was connected to avk targets, an agent *** with an india accent .He said he could fix the problem and for 1249.00 he corrected the problem, and stated that I would be protected for five years. Yesterday I received a voice mail stating that upgrades would need to be made and that I would be charged 7500.00 dollars, when I returned the call I was told that each year starting in 2019 would be a 1399.00 charge and after five years I would be covered for life. I instructed *** to cancel the service and he stated that I would need to pay 1399 for 2019 and 2020, and a $450 cancellation charge. He instructed me to send a check that could be tracked by the post office, and from the first payment has my checking account number and routing number, I am planning on going to the bank today, to close those accounts, and will not send any money. I have blocked his number from my phone, The company is supposedly from texas but his phone is from LA, this is obviously a scam and I am not going to send any money. I will send a letter with this information, I was never given a contract or any information regarding the financial responsibilities for continuing this service. please let me know if there is anything else I should do. It would be nice if I would be refunded my original 1249.00 , but they need to be stopped before anyone else gets taken , and they need to have a contract with the financial responsibilities put in writing. I feel like a fool.
