On 11/3 at approximately 12:15pm, my daughter along with her grandmother, went to Avalon Nail for a routine eyebrow wax. During the wax procedure, she informed the person completing ("Tina") that it hurt. Upon leaving the salon, my daughter had noticeable burns above her eyes and on her eyelids. She has had this completed many times before at the stated salon without incident. Several hours afterwards, it was still noticeably red and painful. On 11/4, I accompanied my daughter back to the salon to speak with the manager as well as the associate to inform them of her injury. The receptionist spoke with the manager directly and we were given a refund. I informed them that my concern is scaring on the affected areas. And was simply told by the receptionist that 'it happened to her and she was fine'. We did take pictures to have as proof of the injury.
I went to this nail spa with a couple friends as a treat before vacation. Upon walking in I was argued with about the service I wanted. I sat in a pedi chair and was yet again argued about with the service I wanted (after being told okay). I politely toward the end said my toenail enhancements were crooked. After 3 try's, a 2 hour service later, my frustration started to show when once again I was argued with and given an incorrect reason as to why they were crooked. They just didn't want to fix them. I tried to file a complaint to the manger telling her that my shoes (my personal shoes) were soaked from them emptying a bowl and spilling water on them and my nail enhancements were not correct and after multiple tries were not being fixed. I was then being yelled at by the manager and worker while they invetween arguing with me would speak another language to each other. Someone else stepped in saying to come back tomorrow since I couldn't stay any longer. I came the next day to once again have someone rude to me, have them speak about me in another language, and stare at me. After 20 minutes and someone being taken that came after me I was done waiting for them. During my 20 minute sit I heard them tell a customer if she would pay cash she would get a discount. After I was basically forced to out for a terrible service they claimed they would fix, unpaid cash and never received the discount. Such a horrible uncomfortable place.
