purchase the 2002 Ford Explorer by making a down payment and financing the balance. I explained to them that they would need to secure full coverage insurance on the vehicle, and that I needed to have the vehicle safety inspected. When writing the receipt, I recognized the name as a person that had previously purchased a vehicle from us on payments, did not secure full coverage insurance, and within a week of having the vehicle got stuck in a mud hole and ran it so hard trying to get out that the vehicle caught fire. We were never paid for that vehicle, but I decided to give her another chance. However, I was not going to let the vehicle leave the lot without documentation that they had full coverage insurance. Since the earliest either could be done would be the next morning, I asked if they would like to leave a deposit in order to secure that nobody else would be able to purchase the vehicle. I explained to them that the deposit would be nonrefundable. They agreed and left with the understanding that I would have the vehicle inspected first thing in the morning and they would acquire their insurance. The vehicle was ready for delivery at 9:30 am on 2/26/16. All of the paperwork was ready for them, they just needed to secure the insurance. I was very busy on 2/26 and had exactly 4 different groups of people inquire about the 2002 Explorer they agreed to leave a nonrefundable deposit on. Each time, I explained to the customers that the vehicle was sold. At approximately 2:30 pm, while I was busy with another customer, [redacted] came in and said that she had found a different vehicle and that she would not be purchasing the Explorer. I said okay, but that the deposit was nonrefundable. In closing, we did exactly what we said we would do, and they did not.
