I purchased a BMW X5 2008 from *** who informed me he was selling the Vehicle for a friend and that it was a very good truck
that had no problems. upon purchase he did not have a dealer plate so was unable to test drive for far distance however truck sounded and looked nice. After purchase I experienced the vehicle not starting *** stated he knew nothing about this but will look at vehicle prior to me bringing the vehicle to him I took it to BMW in Creve Couer and had them do a diagnostic on vehicle and it was requiring 3,000 dollars worth of work needed to be done I presented the information to *** and he assured me he will fix the problem so I drop the vehicle off and he works on the truck for about 8 hrs says the vehicle is ready pick the vehicle up it ran for about 3 days before it did not start properly again he stated he needs the vehicle to stay a few days so I dropped the vehicle off three days he calls me the third day and stated he started the vehicle up 125 times and replaced cam shaft censor caught *** to his business to pick vehicle up after having the vehicle one day after having truck it did not start and I was stranded downtown and vehicle had to be towed. Ive requested my money back and he just keeps saying he needs more time to
figure out the problem and I feel as if though I've given him more than enough times at this point I just want my money back please help me I feel as if this is not his first time doing bad Business and needs to be investigated internally
This car was sold "as is" in good condition without a warranty to this customer. He took it to another dealership who found some problems, which we fixed. After fixing those problems he took the car back to the other dealer and the claim to find the same things that needed to be fixed. The oil was changed five miles before he purchased the car. We will not be providing a refund. No codes have come up any time we have started the car.

Four or five months ago, I had them put a new clutch in a Jeep I own. I had a different issue on the car about a month ago, I took it somewhere else, that's when we found out that they didn't install the transmission correctly. If it hadn't been for this other issue, the transmission would have fallen out of the car. Bolts were loose and missing. We would never have known and I'm not sure that this install issue didn't cause the other problem. They don't want to talk to us, every time I call they hang up on me, every time my son goes by they threaten him. I paid around $1500 to have the clutch replaced, I'm just asking for the money for the part back.
did bring his jeep in our shop to correct a transmission that had been installed incorrectly by his son and the vehicle would not start due to misalignment. We removed the transmission, found damage to the starter and flywheel, and reinstalled a new flywheel and starter. We installed the new parts, aligned and torqued the transmission per factory specs, got the vehicle running, and informed *** of faulty wiring from previous work, multiple oil leaks, and a faulty water pump. At this point *** declined any additional repair and said he or his son could handle the work needed on there own and thanked us for repairing the damage that had occurred. Moving to the present, *** the son showed up in our shop and told showed us pictures of a clutch having damage and a bearing related to the clutch and demanded $500 or he would get an attorney. We saw the vehicle had been driven close to 7000 miles since his visit, the part he had brought in was oil soaked, and the clutch appeared to be stressed from improper driving (eg. dumping the clutch). We told *** all warranty work would have to be done at Autos of Europe and we could not give a refund without seeing the vehicle. A couple weeks passed and we heard nothing, *** came back cursing in our front desk area, demanded $500, and refused to bring the vehicle in for any warranty work. He left telling us he would put us out of business if we did not pay him. We attempted to call his father at this point and his father cursed at the owner, threatened an attorney, and hung up the phone. We are more than willing to do any warranty work that may need to be done but cannot pay money out under a threat of putting us out of business. We have not heard back and the customer is well aware that parts and labor are covered for one year on any jobs listed on the invoice. We have not had the opportunity to see the vehicle or evaluate anything to this point.
.4/11/2018 2:27 PM This happened 6 months ago. I found out they had not tightened the transmission bolts and that resulted in the clutch going bad. I was lucky it had not fallen out. There is no way I wanted them to do any additional work on the car. I tried to get a partial refund and they wouldn't consider it. I have since had the car fixed elsewhere and have sold it. We wont ever have work done there again.
.
My car was with *** and his team of scam artist mechanics for 7 months. I was charged charged charged and paid paid paid only to find that work is uncompleted and I am dealing with many of same problems I brought car in for.
and ***. (+Revdex.com)I got ***'s Voicemail. I am shocked that you continue to say you will NOT send an email response. ***, have *** write on your behalf.I have been very clear. I have remained very professional. I have PAID you over $20k for a restoration on my car. You have failed in the follow areas:1. The OIL leak that cost me over $5k in total has not been resolved. It was leaking in your lot, it is leaking my garage now. You had to have known this, but repeatedly told me it was resolved. It is not.2. The body damage on my car is obvious and it is absolutely above and beyond anything I expected to be presented with upon picking up my car. I will send pictures. This car is a fiberglass body car, that is no longer in production. the damage is both to paint and to the body itself... large chips now missing. The front clip is NOT on straight at all!3. My car has had working ELECTRICAL components for the last 7 months, and then you removed the engine and placed the engine back, and magically I don't have electrical. You want 12 more hours of work. Billed at $165 per hour within is ??? yet another $2k. NO. My internal and external lights don't work now.... that is not my fault and not what I wanted to be worried about when I took the car back. This is the problem I am seeing.... you have a repeated pattern of "finding the next broken thing"... and wanting me and others to pay for it. Look on your google reviews. There is a pattern...
***I'm not sure about what.1. Oil was leaking in your lot when I left and more at my home.2. The damage to My car doors and front clip is really bad. I am shocked. No care was taken. At least not to level I would expect. 3. Electrical failed because of work done in shopThese are, in my opinion, fairly major problems. The car has been in your care for 7 months. What more is to be said. I need resolution. No more talk.
We have made a couple phone call attempts to contact Mr. about any warranty related items on his Saab and have not received a phone call yet. We carry a 1 year warranty on any jobs we have previously done and will would like to talk to him as soon as he can call.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The only item covered under *** warranty is OIL Leak. This has already been covered once. With an additional 1600 worth of work. Secondly, there is no warranty for body work. His shop damaged my car. This is not warranty. I am unfortunately not at home at the moment. But when I return I will take pictures as proof. Third... the electrical issue is also not warranty. His shop damaged electrical components they were unable to repair without an additional 12 hours of invested time. *** repeatedly finds new way to charge customers for work, but the work is typically incomplete always and seemingly requiring larger and more extensive investment. I have hundreds of email correspondence between me and his lead mechanic to prove this. I will only accept the following resolution. This is a collector car, of which he has damaged value. The work and finances invested have totalled more thank 20k dollars. The three items listed will require at least 6k additional investment to resolve. I am asking for a 6k refund or for *** to pay another shop to complete the necessary work.
Sincerely
See attached photos of damage.
See more attached photos.
The carburator and brakes are now having problems. Both items they fixed and have been paid for.The refund request is going up to 8000.

(via ***),Cc: Revdex.com St LouisYou are by now clearly in receipt of my certified letter. I received notice on Thursday of last week.I continue to hear nothing from you.***... You have not lived up to your part of our agreement. I did you over $20,000 dollars to fix and resolve very straight forward items in my car.My car continues to leak oil. My car has experienced significant body damage. My car electrical is not resolved.Further issues have come up. Brakes are rubbing, which you worked on. Car is over heating. Tires rub on front clip which your shop installed incorrectly.I am asking for you to respond and provide a means a resolution.I have reached out in email, in letter form and in phone call. You have neglected to respond to BB. Complaint. I need my issues on this car resolved. I will be forced to pursue additional avenues to resolve this issue if you do not respond.Revdex.com is working to assigned a mediator. I am formally requesting, in soft copy, a full history of work performed, work billed and payments made to your shop. Please provide.Sincerely
....I'm trying very hard not to think you and *** are as stubborn and arrogant as you are being.I like to think that people can't admit mistakes and resolve things, especially when they are providing a service... But you are missing my point.I will make them again.1. Please send me a soft copy of all the paid bills and work completed in email.2. I have had my car with you for 7 Months in 2017. 3 separate times I brought my car back to you 'under warranty'. Each timethe car had 'more problems, which require more investment' but the problem is, the original issues still excited and I was presented with MORE.- oil leak remains- damage to body of car- electrical failures- car over heatingAnd today.... After removing the front clip of the car at home... I have found more screwball issues. Screw and bolts replaced on the car that are wrong (using wood screws and a car is not acceptable). Light harness and action rod was put together with a clip and springs that we're not original. What happened to original parts? The front clip was placed on with 'spacers' and wood screws. Engine parts and screws we're replaced with miss fitted items.Youre asking me to bring my car back your shop so you can do what? Break it more? This is a total embarrassment. This is what $20000 bought me.... Delays, lies and shotty mechanical work. At some point, you will have to own up to this BS.I have formally requested $10000 in refunds. I am asking for it to be given so I can get the work done that is truly worth the money spent. You lied to me... Face to face about the work being done on my car. Face to face. Repeatedly. I trusted you and *** to get a job done that you clearly we're not qualified to do and instead of admitting it... You asked for more and more money.Refund my money, or expect further action to be taken. Period.

02/26/2018 [VM from consumer: I have paid over $20,000.00 and the car is not functional and the work promised is not complete. They continue to say "bring it in for warranty work, bring it in for warranty work." I took it back 3 times for their so called warranty and all I got was more charges. I don't trust them, am very upset, and want 1/2 of my money back, which would be $10,000.00. I could outline all this in an email and have sent pics to the Revdex.com. They had the car off and on for over 8 months and it was supposed to only take three. The other Revdex.com complaints against them and Google reviews pretty much mirror mine. I believe they saw me as someone who had the ability to pay. I need the refund so the car can be fixed like they were supposed to.

I am asking for $10k refund so that I can fix the damage and incomplete work. I feel that is fair.I have supplied pictures to the BB File for summary of damages and issues.I believe the issue now is that the work they did damaged the car even more. The car is no longer running and decommissioned.I dont trust them to fix.
02/27/2018 [left vm; need to discuss if $10,000.00 lowest accept]
03/08/2018 [emailed consumer business response: no refund; bring car in for warranty determination]
03/09/2018 This is unfortunate. They have had car returned to them 3. All of which were unsuccessful in fix and cost me more money. They owe me a refund. The work was incomplete I will accept $5k. But if they will not budge. Then I will have to see them in court.
03/12/2018 [emailed consumer that business will not issue a refund of any amount - only determine if warranty work is owed]
03/13/2018 ***. Have you read my Revdex.com complaint in full?I spent 20k in this shop.Paid in full Everytime. They did not complete the work they promised. They damaged my car.The car is not operable. It broke down after being in their care. The engine doesn't run. It failed.I believed due to a faulty clutch install.Oil pan still leaks. And damge to electrical and body of car are major issues. How many Revdex.com complaints have you received on this location?
[sent reply email - business made final offer he did not accept, so closing. ]
Mar 13 [email to mediator from consumer] Ok. Thanks
03/06/2018 This is ***; *** had a Doctor' appointment. Mr. D. had issues after the car left here and at first he wanted $5,000. back, then $7500. then $10,000. We would probably be out of business if we gave a refund to every customer who was dissatisfied with some of our work. We never promised that for $15,000. he would get a full restoration. We would fix what we saw and diagnosed and it was agreed we would do it piece by piece, focusing on what would get the car to run well and not cosmetic items. Perhaps it's a matter he has put more into this than he wanted and wants a refund because he feels he has spent too much. We are not interested at this time giving consideration to any kind of refund; he has to first bring the car in and let us inspect things. If we discover there is still a problem with something that we worked on and charged for, we will honor our one year warranty on the parts and labor and there will be no charge for correcting something that was our fault. If we diagnose something not related to our work that should be done, we will give him an estimate. He needs to be aware that these parts are subject to a strict one year deadline by the manufacturers so we will need to see things soon and not miss those deadlines as we cannot replace parts for free if the manufacturer won't honor the warranty because it expired.
[sent email to attention of *** and *** for *** to confirm and if *** will be contact here on out]
03/08/2018 This is ***. Yes, you can talk to either me or *** about this matter. We offered this guy a complete restoration but he did not want to consider that (had we looked into that option, from what I know now about this car, a complete would have been quoted for around $40,000.00). I believe this car had been sitting 20 years; it's old and parts are becoming obsolete in America and sometimes we have to check overseas. He wanted to see if we could make it driveable so we took things a step at a time. Every time after he drove it, something else would come up. And we didn't hurt the paint - when he drives a car this old around, things like that will come up. We spent hours and hours doing things without charging. We started on some of the electrical like he requested to see what would happen - not surprising a car this age that had sat so long would need more after trying one step, even though it was hoped that would be enough. He would often send 3 to 5 emails some days - I requested he stop emailing and just talk to me. No, I am not interested in giving him any kind of refund - I don't think that would be fair. He can bring it in and we'll see if something should be corrected at no charge under our one year warranty or if it is something else we can quote him before working on it.
03/12/2018 This is ***. No, I will not pay him a $5,000.00 refund. My position is still the same: he can bring it in for us to determine if something is owed him under our warranty. That's all I will do. Thank you.
