Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Thank you very much for the quick response and actionI am very grateful to everyone Sincerely, [redacted] ***
First I want to apologize for getting our wires crossed with the communication about the way we were refunding the incorrect sales tax Here at the dealership we use two Colorado Web sites to determine a customers sales tax, one being [redacted] ***as well as [redacted] a Colorado DOR Certified Sales Tax look upBoth of these sites indicated that the appropriate sales tax for this address of [redacted] is in fact 5.4% broken down as 2.9% Colorado State Tax as well as 2.5% Chaffee CountyLater when [redacted] went to register his vehicle his Motor Vehicle department indicated we collected Chaffee County taxes as indicated by both lookups, this was incorrectWe collect all sales taxes for all transactions for anyone who buys a car from usThe same amount we collect, we send to our customers Motor Vehicle DepartmentWe did make a mistake in the way we thought he was to be reimbursedAs of now [redacted] has the check for tax miscalculation.Again, I'm sorry for the miscommunication on the payment type as well as the delayThank you***
This vehicle was brought in as a theft job and it was an older modified Subaru with aftermarket accessories The vehicle was towed in with obvious damage from the vehicle being stolen The customers insurance company was covering the repairs There was a large delay with the insurance company and delay in parts Toward the end of the repair there was some objection where the customer was stating more items were needing to be covered by the insurance company The insurance company told us that the customer had been giving them a hard time and not being very reasonable so just to get the customer from yelling at them they decided to just cover the additional repairs We repaired the vehicle and even paid for a lost key that the tow company had not given us and that the insurance company would not pay forthe major part of delay in this is due to a vehicle that was older with preexisting damage and aftermarket parts that at a dealership we have nothing to do with when it comes to repairing them

[redacted] is clearly not telling the truth and hasn't since the start of his obligation to complete this car deal [redacted] is and has tried to Jump title on what was his trade in, he was trying to skirt around registering his trade to eliminate paying sales taxes in [redacted] This was very clear when he told me he didn't know where the title was and said he never received paper work from previous dealer, later in the conversation I told him he is and still is responsible to provide a title to us as stated in the paperwork he signedLater he pulled a non registered title from his suit coat which I made copies of Make no mistake, [redacted] is well aware that his responsibility is to provide a title for what once was his car I don't care that [redacted] thinks he's too busy to go to Motor Vehicle and pay sales taxes like everyone else, what I care about is my title to his trade that I must have by Monday Aug 28th or I will be turning this over to our attorney who will be in contact with the dealer Licensing Board.Thank you***
The check for this customer was never delivered according to the customer We put a stop payment on this check and issued another one The customer states they still have not gotten the checkNow on 4-16-we are going to put another stop payment on the check and issue one and have it sent to the dealership Once we have the check we will hand deliver it to the customer
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: 1. [redacted] is a GM at Autonation Subaru is clearly thinking I wasn't telling the truth... He forgot to mention that when I personally saw him at the dealership, I told him that I picked up the title from a [redacted] branch on my way to the dealership. His papers said that they tried to contact [redacted] for the title and didn't find it. I called the branch I originated the loan with and they had the title as well as the sales tax papers that said that I paid and included all taxes into my loan. I wasn't trying to skirt or do anything illegal. I pulled out the title from my suit coat, yes because you know, it makes sense that I'd want to give the title to the dealer after picking it up at the branch. Also, spoke with a manager at the [redacted] branch that gave me the title and they're more then willing to say that the title was there and I wasn't holding on to it just for [redacted] and giggles. 2. ***, I called the DMV and has done everything in my power to work with you. I never said I wouldn't work with you. DMV clearly, in English, and non other language explained that I DID NOT NEED TO PAY TAXES OR REGISTER THE CAR! She said that because I traded it in in less than a week after purchase, I didn't have to pay any REGISTRATION FEES! All I have to do is switch the title to my name. So please stop telling me that I need to register it, I DON'T. Stop treating me like I am trying to scam you! I picked up the phone when you personally called me to make sure I got everything taken care of. I told you I will and am working on that. I wouldn't have picked up or answer or even said I'd work on it, if I was trying to skirt or do whatever you're blaming me of! Your customer service is worse than any I've ever witnessed, that is not to say that I've been a very good customer. I've bought 2 cars not including my new car from you guys and praised you with all my family members and friends and I get treated like dog st this time. I apologize for the language but this kind of customer service is not okay! Not in any book! I said I will take care of the title and I will! Stop harassing me and calling 3-4 times a day! 3. You left out the part where you called me and I, over the phone, was more than happy to help and work with you. 4. Taking time off work is something I cannot do. I pay for my car with hard earned money from my job! Respect that please! I had to take 2-3 hours off my job to hunt for things you should've been doing. 5. Ignoring the fact that originally I asked if there was anything I needed to do after the trade in deal is just not professional. I asked one of the people helping me out and they said "No, everything looks good". Everything is good means that you've checked everything and it is all good. Having to contact me 1-2 months after the purchase to hunt for documents doesn't say to me that everything is good, not at all. Sincerely, [redacted]
I will prepare a $check to you to use in anyway you would likeThis would be my goodwill apology from us for the number of inquiries we ran to get approvedThank you***
I want to apologize about the number of inquiries that the ***'s got during this sales processI know that our intentions were to get them approved on the first car that the *** had picked out What happened when we submitted the information and
finance amount of just over 40K to *** ***, they actually turned them down for the loan In an effort to get the customer their first choice of vehicle we then sent it to another source who also turned the loan down.By switching to a less expensive new vehicle, we resent "Submitted" the new car and loan back to *** *** who then approved the amount to finance.By doing so it was another inquiry.Again, our goal is to make the fewest steps possible to get someone approved, unfortunately this one took two cars and some extra work.I'm sorry it didn't go as simple as one would likeSorry for the inquiries.*** ***
Allow me until Wednesday August 9th to respond as I am not familiar with this complaintI will get all the facts so I can speak accurately and will need this time to meet with who was involved. Thank you***
Tell us why here...The customer has some repair work done and there was some oil stains in the inside of the vehicle that needed to be cleaned. The customer brought the vehicle in on a day we did not have a detailer working. Our employee indicated that we were just going to clean the
spots but the customer was under the impression that the while vehicle would be detailed in and out. Since the customer could not get that taken care of by us they took it to a private party and had the vehicle detailed and paid $out of pocket. We offered to reimburse the customer and the customer accepted. reimbursement is being processed to the customer to remedy issue

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/07/27) */
We here at Autonation Subaru are required to use a 3rd party check guarantee companyBefore a check can be refunded to a customer this company must have placed that money into our accountThis process can take 3-weeks by itselfThen a
request must be placed to our corporate office out of *** As of today 07/27/a check has been cut for this customer and will be placed in fedex todayWe realize it is an inconvenience to the customer however we did extend our 3day money back guarantee to Unwind this deal for the customerThis is not something we are required to do but did it to make a customer who is not buying happy

It appears that [redacted] Bank had the original check we sent, and has now cashed the refund check to be credited to [redacted] account. Sorry for the delay, [redacted]
[redacted] is clearly not telling the truth and hasn't since the start of his obligation to complete this car deal. [redacted] is and has tried to Jump title on what was his trade in, he was trying to skirt around registering his trade to eliminate paying sales taxes in [redacted]. This...

There are several factors Mr. [redacted] fails to mention in his complaint:1- The ad referred to by Mr. [redacted] is a [redacted] that was/is in high demand due to the attractive lease payment. However, due to that same attractiveness, the vehicle is now sold out with no further inventory available...
within the State of [redacted].2- Mr. [redacted] had negative equity on his trade , which made his payment higher to begin with.3- Upon further investigation, it was brought to our attention that Mr. [redacted] would be utilizing his credit for his father to lease the vehicle. That constitutes a "straw purchase" which is a highly illegal practice.4-The loaner vehicle he is referring to is a vehicle that is not a retail vehicle available to sell. That car is branded as a loaner car by the Manufacturer and can not be sold until a later date after it has a certain amount of miles and months in a loaner status. This vehicle will be sold as a used vehicle at that time. Our one mistake was made by our Sales Guide who should have never showed him the vehicle. However, this vehicle was parked in a designated loaner vehicle area.
