I had already taken my car for the 1st estimate and they found not problems but my car was still messed up and misbehaving, lol and then took it to Auto Tech for my 2nd estimate this was so that if the repairs were covered under my warranty Auto Tech was where my warranty people told me to take it Where they found my problems had multiple problems and they were able to dianognse the problems and get my car all fixed up and programed so that the alternator was programmed to operate correctly with my car It is sstrange that is would only misbehave when it was below degrees or below outside for it to indicate any problems Thank you Auto Tech for solving my car issues Would recommend them to anyone needing a 2nd option It is always best to get seccond or even 3rd options when it comes to costing lost of money that some of us don't have to spend on car repairs if you don't have a warranty on that used car I paid the extra money for a warranty when I bought my used car just in case They might not cover everything but what they do cover does help the bilfold as far as expenses It worked for me after paying $for labor and the [redacted] said there was nothing wrong with my carThank you Auto Tech for getting me back on the road
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/08/31) */
This customer has been contacted and we paid for her new battery and labor to install itA lot of her points are true and we regret to say we had a bad customer service day on her carWe service over cars a year with little to no
complaints but this one got away from usAs for the price we never claim to be less than the dealer at any timeWe were also threatened that if we don't pay more that more complaints will follow so I will consider this case closed on our endI will not respond to cyber threats at this time
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/09/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They stated they paid for the new battery and labor to install and that is not trueThey reimbursed us for the battery cost only, not the labor
The whole complaint is that they bill for service and work that was actually not performedThey have admitted this much and the battery was merely an example where I was billed for "testing of battery" and that work was not donethere was also the example of a "road test" that wasn't done or done very poorly, I'll never know, but it did result in a return visit that uncovered things that weren't caught the first time
All the business needs to be asked is, "Did you bill for work that wasn't done?"Specific to this situation, not the overall cars per year they might work onI hope the other experiences were better but in this case, they said they had a bad day, and I have still been billed for services that were never done
That is the essence of my complaint, should I pay for services not completed
I have asked the business for 50% of the invoice amount back which would be under $(that is half of the invoice) to give them the benefit of the doubt that they might have done some of the work? They have already reimbursed me for the battery but I think they still owe me another $or soI can do the exact math if they are open to it but bottom line, they have admitted to billing for services that they didn't doThe battery was easy since I took them the battery to show them the quality of their work
How do I or anyone know if any of the other work was really done? Should it be blind trust in the face of a clear example of poor oversight during their bad day?
These guys have bent over backwards countless times for me and my familyDay or night they are available to help with any car issue we have ever had Honest and provide the best insight for the repairs we have ever needed
The car was considered an abandoned vehicle and Butler County Sheriff's Dept told owner he had to move it. Mr*** called our company and had the sheriff's office speak to us and ***, the co-owner at the time, agreed to do it. Mr*** signed a work order to have our company do the
work. The work was too much to be paid at once and they made payments. *** did a pay as you go. I (***) was able to get the car running. I want the Revdex.com to know that the car is not registered to either Mr*** or his girlfriend. The plates that they have on the car is registered for a Lincoln Continental not a SAAB and they have owned this car for two years. They have picked up the car and they signed a waiver stating that the car was running fine and no longer would hold us responsible for the car. The total cost of the repairs was far more than what they could pay and I (***) have written off the balance to be finished with these two people. Since this time, Mr*** has been in an accident and has asked us to fix his car and we have declined
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/01/04) */
The day she brought the car down to the shop it had to be towed, the car was not running for at least 3 weeks it set at another shop for that amount of time, we did get the car to where it could start and run, I diagnosed it with bad head...
gaskets, and water in the oil, main rod bearings and connecting rod bearings damaged due to running the motor with water and oil. Spoke to her on speakerphone explain the situation told her she had one try I could see how I could fix it for her, stress to her the best fix would be another motor, she said she could not afford that the car was given to her and she had been driving it with water in the oil for 3 weeks prior to it breaking down on her and explain to me it has set at another shop for 3 more weeks, when we spoke I told her I will to do the best I could it would cost a minimum of $450 she came and paid 381 total after we made the repairs the car had all the stuff for significant damage to the main rod bearings connecting rod and piston rings that it was beyond repair, we got the up and down to show her the damage to the water pump that is internal and, the internal damage to the pistons and rings and crank and rod bearings, she asked to get her car without further repairs being done she could not afford it at the time we said yes. We have pictures and video surveillance of the conversation in person at the shop with her. If she is having hard times and needs the refund is that will be fine with us. All she has to do is ask. We would require her to sign stating a refund has been given. We did the repairs to the vehicle and have video proof and pictures to back it up. She has a friend of hers that is a mechanic so that's what he calls himself. Thank you for your time if we could be of any further assistance feel free to contact us

We have been in contact with this customer and the situation has been resolved.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/02/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The sales representative...
from Auto Tech West called me and asked if I had taken my car somewhere to get it fixed..
I replied that I had studied the problem and realized that there was air left in my clutch's hydraulic system and that I had fixed the problem myself.
[redacted]
Because the sales rep who contacted me did not make any form of concession I do not accept their response.

Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2016/02/22) */
This customer had an appointment to come back in for us to recheck the clutch system and ensure that it was working properly and if it was then the estimate for the clutch kit was accurate. If the system was at fault then the clutch kit was not going to be needed.
This customer did not come in at the time he stated he would be here so we called him to check if he was going to come in and he said no he would not come in.
To ensure his vehicle was fixed properly by us or someone else we called him a few days later to see if the problem had been resolved and he informed us that he re-bled the system himself and the system was working properly.
We were very happy to hear that he did not need the extra work and that his vehicle was working good. We apologized for the inconvenience and said good bye. [redacted]

If someone has a problem with the work we have done we are always more than happy to recheck everything to ensure the accuracy of the repairs and estimates given.
As a gesture of good faith we will happily refund the cost of the flush [redacted]
I had already taken my car for the 1st estimate and they found not problems but my car was still messed up and misbehaving, lol and then took it to Auto Tech for my 2nd estimate this was so that if the repairs were covered under my warranty Auto Tech was where my warranty people told me to take it. Where they found my problems had multiple problems and they were able to dianognse the problems and get my car all fixed up and programed so that the alternator was programmed to operate correctly with my car. It is sstrange that is would only misbehave when it was below 17 degrees or below outside for it to indicate any problems. Thank you Auto Tech for solving my car issues. Would recommend them to anyone needing a 2nd option. It is always best to get seccond or even 3rd options when it comes to costing lost of money that some of us don't have to spend on car repairs if you don't have a warranty on that used car. I paid the extra money for a warranty when I bought my used car just in case. They might not cover everything but what they do cover does help the bilfold as far as expenses. It worked for me after paying $300.00 for labor and the [redacted] said there was nothing wrong with my car. Thank you Auto Tech for getting me back on the road.
