Review: took my car to the repair shop for an alternator and a battery replacement. My repair bill is $600.00! for a battery and an alternator? Really, I cannot believe I amy being charged this amount for my repair. I called several auto parts stores, [redacted] and [redacted], they both have similar prices of $300.00 for both. Cell phones record call times and I have the times I spoke with the shop. The time I spoke with the shop was at 2:52 when they told me the price of the repair. They had not started working on my car at that point. I thought about it and called them back at 3:21 to tell them not to do the repair. I was then told it was too late and the repair was done. In 29 minutes you fixed my car and are trying to charge me $600.00! that means that given the price of the 2 parts I am paying $300.00 for 1 half hour of labor. This is unacceptable. I want a fair price for the work that was done.

Did they see me coming with New Jersey tags and a woman alone with her daughter and thought I was an easy target? Not this recently retired lady who was born 62 years ago and not yesterday.A man is worth his work however not worth more than he is entitled to. Is this how you treat customers who put faith in your service but consider it fair play to take money you are not suppose to have. Does the word stealing mean anything to you?Desired Settlement: I am being overcharged and I want a fair resolution to this issue.

The customer was towed into the shop, A diagnoses was done and needed a battery and alternator. She was called and given the complete price ( Alternator, Battery, Diagnoses, Labor, Supplies and Tax) for the repairs needed. An approval was given by her and the repairs were done. When she called back the car WAS already completed. When she called back she asked for the BATTERY not to be done since it may still be under a [redacted] warranty but not the alternator. Our battery prices are controlled by [redacted] and we cannot deviate from the price. We do not sell of install inferior products from discount stores so we can give a 2 year 24000 mile parts and labor warranty on our work which is also covered in New Jersey. Consequently the cost of better products are higher. I was not at the shop the day the repairs were done however I was here when she picked up the car the next morning and handled her concern about the BATTERY in question. I had her old BATTERY installed back into her car (paid the technician again at my expense) and told her to go to [redacted] as soon as possible so the alternator would not be damaged. Upon leaving the customer was satisfied with what I had done and informed me she filed a complaint with you and I would be contacted. I do believe the compliant was filed prematurely since the final transaction was not complete and was done to her satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The owner treated me fairly and removed $200.00 from my original repair bill of $600.00 and I thanked him.

I DID NOT HOWEVER PREMATURELY SEND MY COMPLAINT TO THE Revdex.com OFFICE. I STAND BY MY DECESION TO CONTACT THE OFFICE. The manager should have given me the option of removing the battery at my request and he did not until the owner came and had it removed from my car.
