As stated prior, The customer requested that we diagnose a coolant leak & supply a estimate prior to repair, we diagnosed the customer complaint & supplied the estimate, the customer declined the work and asked that we refill the coolant & to just pay for diagnosis at this time. We performed the service the customer requestedand require payment for those servicesAt no time was anything "FREE" offered to the customer everOur diagnosis was not inaccurate the radiator was leaking in the drain plug area & the only 100% correct & warranty carrying repair was replacement

I am rejecting this response because:1) The difference between Auto Repair Specialists' (ARS) recommendation (full radiator replacement) and actual repair performed by *** *** *** is the difference between a MAJOR repair and a MINOR repairI assert that my auto did not require the major repair recommended by Auto Repair Specialists.2) The recommended repair work done by *** *** *** was not simply a difference of opinionThe repair fixed the problem so it is a now a fact that the repair required was a minor one and not the asserted required repair recommended by Auto Repair Specialists.I was charged for a professional opinion regarding my leaking radiatorI do not believe that I got a correct assessment as evidenced by the repair performed elsewhere for a fraction of the costAuto Repair Specialists never mentioned a faulty plug or offered replacing the plug as an inexpensive (and effective) optionI am asking for the labor charge to be refunded to meI do not believe that I received an honest professional opinion of the needed repair from ARS- which is what I expected and what I paid for. See attached evidence from auto repair shop that repaired the leak in the radiator (it was a faulty plug)
Sincerely,

Customer stated that the vehicle was low on coolant, a standard procedure test drive was performed & pressure test & visual inspection to find coolant leaking from lower tank of radiator in drain plug area, based on inspection & 22+ years of experience as a ASE recertified MASTER tech,
the only 100% correct & warranty carrying repair was to replace the radiator due to broken part requiring replacementCustomer was advised of correct & warranty carrying repair & declined repair at this time stating that she was "getting rid of the car"I also advised her that the vehicle need front & rear brakes & front lower control arms as per a safety inspection we performed after the test drive & that there is emissions repairs that are needed due to "non-emissions conforming parts"Customer was made aware of diagnosis & parts charges & was never offered any "free" services or repairs & paid by credit card as per attached & signed invoice & credit card receiptWe performed the service she requested & require payment for them, labor & parts charges cannot be refunded or waived because the customer does not "like" our diagnosis or pricing. It has always been our policy to perform the highest quality & level of repairs here at AUTO REPAIR SPECIALISTS INC& we will continue to do soI hope this helps, please feel free to contact me if you need further clarification on this matter

I am rejecting this response because:
There are inaccuracies in the business response.  I said specifically over the phone and in person that the fluid was leaking from the radiator. I asked for an estimate and was told that it required a radiator replacement when I specifically asked to fix the leak. Also, if you know the radiator is leaking, why would you add fluid and charge another $18? I am calling out this business for being dishonest and overcharging for services not needed. I also never said I was getting rid of the car and it's irrelevant to what they proposed doing which is to attempt to charge me $650 for a $20 repair. I would only get the diagnosis cost refunded if they performed the work, which thankfully they never did. Aaa will hear about their dishonesty as well.
Sincerely,

tech, the only 100% correct & warranty carrying repair was to replace the radiator due to broken part  requiring replacement. Customer  was advised of correct & warranty carrying repair & declined repair at this time stating that she was "getting rid of the car". I also advised her that the vehicle need front & rear brakes & front lower control arms as per a safety inspection we performed after the test drive & that there is emissions repairs that are needed due to "non-emissions conforming parts". Customer was made aware of diagnosis & parts charges & was never offered any "free" services or repairs & paid by credit card as per attached & signed invoice & credit card receipt.
