To the Revdex.com,This is in response to complaint id ***.We received this complaint recently about a Subaru Outback we sold on June 20, The customer was informed on the day of sale that the vehicle's head gaskets had been replaced at *** ***
in Salem, Oregon on Feb 18, at 92,miles per the Carfax reportAlso per Carfax on the same date the cooling system was checked, thermostat and thermostat housing replaced along with timing belt, tensioner and idler pulleyAlso one of the most recent notes on Carfax, the vehicle was serviced at *** *** again on June 25, with 140,miles and an oil change at 142k milesIt was meticulously maintained at *** between 80k miles and 140k miles. We aren't sure which shop the customer took the vehicle to for the head gasket replacementBut, generally Subaru's head gaskets don't go bad after 50k milesAlso, typically when a credible shop replaces head gaskets on a Subaru they use the updated multi-layer head gaskets that last much longer than the factory head gaskets. So in regards to the customers complaint that we lied about the head gaskets being replaced, we did not lieTo the best of our knowledge and per the Carfax report the gaskets were replaced at 92K milesAnd there were many, many other maintenance records listed on Carfax about this vehicle.Sincerely, Rick W***Auto Outlet?

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I did complain about the air conditioning months after I bought the vehicle. I purchased it February 2, 2015, and the first time I used the air conditioning, on Saturday, May 9, 2015, the first hot day of the year, the air conditioning didn't work. I stopped by Auto Outlet that day and Dave informed me it wasn't a problem and they would contact me Monday morning to get it in the shop. Three weeks went by and I contacted them again and that's when Dave informed me they weren't taking responsibility for it. They advertised the car as having air conditioning, and when I purchased the car, I even made the comment about having a past vehicle that didn't have air, and I would never own one again. They were dishonest in their ad, and then changed their mind when they told me they would get it right in and get it fixed. When I spoke to dave about it, he was rude, and incredibly unprofessional. I believe they need to replace or fix the air conditioning to the working condition they advertised it in. [redacted]

In reference to the march 21 letter.
We offered to split the cost of the fuel pump. We were purchasing the fuel pump at Autozone. She continues to assume we were purchasing a re-manufactured fuel pump. Wewere only going to purchase a NEW fuel pump from Auto zone. THEY DO NOT SELLRE-MANUFACTURED FUEL PUMPS AT AUTO ZONE FOR HER CAR .. THEYONLY SELL NEW.
We have also replied to her filing with the state attorney generals office. They found nomiss representation or fraud by this dealership.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:We never received a carfax report when we purchased the vehicle!! The only time we received the report was when they mailed it to our home a week or so ago after my complaint here. The sales person did NOT say those things about the car, THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE!! When we asked the salesperson about the ad that was run for the vehicle on craigslist, about the head gasket being new as well as the transmission, we were only told yes - they have recently been replaced. Recent usually means within the last year not almost 6 YEARS ago! As far as the head gasket not going bad after that time, who is to say what the car went through and what kind of mechanic replaced it almost 6 years ago! They didnt even know about the bad brakes, problem with transmission, and the timing belt that was installed was too long! They obviously do not give their car good inspections before a sale! I took the car to a reputable mechanic and they did enough diagnostics, including dyeing the oil to see where it was coming from, to know the head gasket needed work. This excuse of letting us know or communicating to us in any way is fraud. I have the ONE email they sent back to me when I first initially contacted them about the bad brakes, transmission problems, and belt and oil leak and all it said was take it to a reputable shop:
Take it to a reputable shop. Give them your warranty and they need to contact the company

That response above is the ONLY response I ever received from this "business"!! I sent them numerous emails and a voicemail and no one ever responded me until I sent in a complaint here. The only response I have received is a carfax report (the FIRST one we got on this car) mailed to me with nothing else and the reply here. The warranty company told us basically the warranty the dealer gave us covers nothing that was wrong with the vehicle and that unless you purchase a warranty the one that came with the car is basically worth nothing. They did not stand behind what they sold to us and have offered nothing in the way of help! This "business" sold us a car that has taken almost $3000 since we bought it to keep it SAFE and on the road! They need to take some responsibility for their actions and learn to stand behind what they sell and their customers, LIKE A GOOD FAIR business would!!Sincerely,[redacted]

The customer in question traded an &dcr Lincoln that we allowed $1,000 for that we were told only nueded
new battery cables. The trade in proved to be not ;oadwor~hy. The customer brought the 2001 I-lyundai
Accent back and said it was [tissmg. We immediately check it...

out and found it had a bad ftiel injector. We
got a new fuel injector the next day and lixed the problem and informed the customer.
The next day the customer called and said they were afraid something else would go wrong and asked if we
would take the car back and return the Lincoln and refund the money. I told them at that time that I would
retlird the money less warranty cost and they said that was OK as they understood that warranties are not
iee They never drove the Accent after the injector repair or said anything about the price of the Accent.
only that they were not happy with the Accent.
As for the price of the 2001 Accent with 66.000 miles. We can’t buy it for S2300 let alone sell it for that.
However I gave them a check stating retirnd in thIL. As for the gas I told them as they stated This appears
to be a classic case of “Buyer’s Remorse”. We stand by our actions. We don’t know of many dealers that
would have refunded a binding sale.

Having issues with my truck and they want return my phone call.I purchase my truck on April 3 and soon as I got home my truck engine light came on. Call them and they told me to bring it back on Monday. My friend took back down and stayed all day long. Auto Outlet change the wires and spark plugs. After putting everything in the mechanic notice that catalytic converter was red hot. So they gave us a loaner vehicle. They caught my truck for about two weeks and I would call them. They would never call me. When I got my truck back is was making a noise. The mechanic told me that I would have to drive it like that. I drove my truck and it was making a loud noise and sounded like a lawn mower. So the next day I went down there stay all day long. To find out they put the wrong spark plugs in. Then to find out the heads where burnt. So they gave me a another loaner car. My warranty cover the work. I told them I didn't want it and want another car. But, my credit wasn't good enough. So they put a new engine. Finally, I my truck and was driving for a week. Check engine light came back on. I call them and the said the mechanic would call. He never called but, the engine light went off. Last Sunday June 8 the check engine light came back on. Went to [redacted] and the put it on the machine they it was a 02 sensor or the catalytic converter. Call Auto Outlet one of the owners said they will call me back. On Wednesday went to [redacted] and they put it on the machine. The mechanic said it's the catalytic converter. I call to the lot and talk to [redacted] the office manager and she said she will have them call me. I still haven't gotten a phone call. I had haven't even drove the truck because, it's been with them. I believe the truck already had problems and that they sold me a lemon.Desired SettlementI would like my down payment money back 1800 plus the gas money for coming back and forth. I

repairs not completed, they ruined my car.your complaint MY CAR WAS BOUGHT WITH CASH ON 5/9/2016. ON 5/14/2016 IT HAD A MINOR DAMAGE MY INSURANCE COMPANY SAID IT WOULD BE 3200.00 AND 6 DAYS TO FIX. ON 8/5/2016 THEY FINALLY TOOK MY CAR TO [redacted] IN GREENVILLE. THEY TOLD THE REPAIR SHOP MANAGER THAT ALL PARTS WERE PAID FOR AND THE CAR ONLY NEEDED THE LABOR DONE. THE MANAGER OF THE REPAIR SHOP CALLED ME WITHIN 45 MINUTES OF RECEIVING THE CAR TO SAY THAT AUTO OUTLET HAD RUINED IT BY CUTTING CABLES, WIRES AND BRACKETS THAT DID NOT EVEN PERTAIN TO THE REPAIRS THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE. THE CABLE THAT WAS ORDERED FROM THE ** PLACE BY AUTO OUTLET WAS NOT PAID FOR AND WOULD COST ME 520.00 TO PURCHASE. I WENT TO THE [redacted] POLICE DEPARTMENT WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO COME AND COMPLAIN ABOUT AUTO OUTLET AND THE OFFICER ASSURED ME I WOULD NOT BE THE LAST. BEFORE ALL THESE BAD THINGS HAPPENED I BOUGHT ANOTHER CAR FROM THEM THAT TURNED OUT TO BE A LEMON AND I LET THEM REPLACE MY HUSBANDS BRAKES ON HIS TRUCK THAT 5 DAYS LATER LOCKED UP ON ME WHILE WE WERE OUT OF TOWN. TOTAL AMOUNT FOR ALL 3 IS 10,700. I DO HAVE PICTURES OF MY CAR THAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY TOOK BEFORE REPAIRS BEGAN AND PICTURES OF IT IS NOW AT THE ** PLACE.Desired Settlement10,700.00

Review: Auto Outlet gave me $1000 down on a Hyundi Accent for my Lincoln. Checked the car out and test drove it. I had it for maybe 2 hours and the check engine light came on... Went to Auto Zone the computer said cylinder 4 was misfiring, Took it back to auto outlet, had to leave it there over night. Then we decided to see if we could just get our money back because Kelly Blue book valued the hyundi at 2300 and they were asking 3999. They said they would gladly give us our money so we went down and when we got there they said that they had to take $150 because of the warranty.. I Only had the car for maybe 2 hours... and I filled the car up with gas it was $27 and some change.. I had the receipt and politely asked if they could reimburse me the gas money and Don said No that gas would go to the next customer. I Don't feel that we should have to pay 150 for the warranty because they said it was a free 3month warranty they offer to all customers, so why did they take $150 and I think they should have reimbursed the gas we put in.Desired Settlement: repayment of warranty fee and gas that we put in the car.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Auto Outlet of Vineland November 2013. The vehicle was totaled 2/2/2014. In terms of my contract, I contacted the dealership to cancel my auto warranty through [redacted] I filled out a cancellation form and it was forwarded to [redacted] issued its portion of a pro-rata cancellation check for $542 to the dealership to be forwarded to me along with the dealerships 92% pro-rata commission on the sale. They enclosed a letter to Auto Outlet of Vineland explaining this to them. [redacted] the finance manager, explained to me that they will not be forwarding their portion of the sale ($395 of the original $995 warranty purchase price) and that they are not responsible to refund this. He also told me to call the salesperson directly to ask them for my portion which he didn't believe the sales person would care to "give up." [redacted] has confirmed that the dealership is fully responsible to refund their portion of the sale.Desired Settlement: I expect to receive the pro-rata refund from Auto Outlet of Vineland to fullfil that obligation. I would like to have my 92% of $395 commission refunded to me from this establishment. Thank you.
