On Jan 17,2017 I received a quitter of 277 to replace a windshield on my 76 corvette. Within an hour I received a call saying the quotas was way off and it would be twice that amount. My question why did they accept my credit card? He said the machine that gave the price did not know it was a specialty vehicle. Then why use it for qigong prices? Not they even have my credit information. Terrible company

1) The technician did not come within the window of appointed time (guess I am dealing with [redacted]). 2)The technician left the dashboard GAPING so badly I had to duck tape it back. SHOTTY SERVICE & WORKMANSHIP). 3)The technician scraped the inspection stickers off to the point of confetti. The 2 emmission stickers are illegible to read any registration numbers. When questioned about it, The techniciansaid that he's being doing this for years and no one ever has problem (poor SHOTTY SERVICE & WORKMANSHIP). I was informed by 2 [redacted] inspection stations that THIS IS ILLEGAL. The technician told me to go back to where it was inspected (in February 2015) and have them print me new ones (GREAT SERVICE). The inspection station said that if the numbers on the sticker were legible, they would have no problem printing new ones for no charge. Unfortunately, they said that once they send the info to [redacted] (state capital) they no longer have the information. Without those numbers, I have to have the vehicle re-inspected. While this wouldn't be such a big deal, 8 months AFTER it passed inspection, if it doesn't pass inspection NOW, then I have additional repairs and costs THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE AT THIS TIME.

Well at 1030 am the company calls me and says the installer has been trying to contact me but I never picked up. Review: I scheduled a service to have my car windshield replaced. I called on Friday 7/24 and the first available time I could schedule was for Tuesday, 7/28 and I had to give my credit card to hold the full amount of 330.58 until the job was completed. I was told it would be anywhere from 9am to 4pm. I had to take the entire time off work for this (as I work in healthcare, I was able to rearrange my patient appointments for the evening) and I stated that was fine but I will be going out of town on Wed and it must be done that day. I called Tuesday morning just for the anticipated time of arrival for the replacement. I was told they were not coming today and that they had tried to reach me and the only available time would be for wed. I told them, again, I had to leave town Wednesday morning, to drive this vehicle out of state. I asked if there is anyway possible for them to make it out. I was told straightforward no and I had to reschedule. I asked again if I could speak to the technician who would be coming and told no. I asked if I took my car TO the technician to have it taken care of even though I would not be given any compensation for this, she said no. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she told me she would have her call when she came to the office.
In the meantime, I called the local technician here in Pittsburgh, he even stated that he was upset by this because they did not return his calls about my service. He was very genuine and helpful and said he would try to see what he could do to get me in today but that the glass for my windshield was not even ordered so he could not get until Wednesday anyway but he would try.
I did receive a call back from the supervisor and asked that if there was no way I could receive my scheduled service that I would go ahead and make the appointment for next Monday and take another day off work but I feel I should be given a discount. She outright stated no. I asked about cancelling all together, which I could do but the full amount of the service and windshield would still be on hold for another 2 to 3 business days. I stated this was unacceptable and has now put me in a serious situation, not only to get this taken care of, they are holding my account, I have to take another day off work and feel I should be compensated in some way. She outright refused again but said she would see if she could do anything about the technician to come out today. She called back and stated that he would try to come this evening. I told her I took off today and cannot cancel my patient visits for the night now (after 5pm) in the same day so that cannot work. Again I asked for something she could do. At this point our conversation became heated on both sides. She said now I am cancelling because I was supposed to be available today and I corrected her and said only between 9am and 4pm--which was the scheduled time, and that it had to be before 4pm. I said fine then reschedule me for Monday but it has to be in the morning.. She then hung up on me.
She called back again and said she spoke to the technician and that he does not do appointments on Mondays. I said I wanted to cancel this service, I want my money back--taken off the hold on my bank account for the full amount and that I was filing a complaint.Desired Settlement: Due to this disastrous situation involving a safety hazard to my vehicle, I wish to be contacted with an apology for this. I feel they should deeply look into their customer service practices and policies.
Review: I purchased a windshield and installation through the Auto Glass Guru. On the receipt that I was emailed for this service, it states that installation includes a lifetime warranty on the labor and the glass, which covers installation against leaks for the life of the glass.
At the end of last month, we noticed it was leaking.
I called and they said they would send a technician out to assess the problem and call us to let us know what was going on. Because no one called me back that day or the next day, I called them a couple days later to find out what happened; they said the technician could not find a leak and would call us back. Again, they did not call us so I then called the actual shop and arranged a time to bring in the car.
At the glass repair shop, first they said they couldn't find a leak. Then they said they couldn't guarantee the windshield wouldn't leak because the frame was rusted out; We were NEVER notified of this when they originally replaced the windshield, verbally or on paper, though they claim it was on the invoice. However, I have the original invoice and a copy sent from Auto Glass Guru and there is no mention of rust anywhere.
To fix the problem, they used some caulk to patch it. It is still leaking.
Now, I have to keep a bucket in my car for when it rains, as the water that comes in is leaking onto my gear shift and has caused damage to my overhead light and surrounding area on the ceiling of the car.Desired Settlement: I would like for the lifetime warranty against leaks to be honored and for my windshield to be fixed correctly so that it will stop leaking. I would also like for the damages to my interior (thanks to incorrect installation) to be assessed, corrected and paid in full, so that is in the condition it was in prior to the windshield replacement service.
Typical "bait and switch" scheme! My internet $262 receipt clearly stated a WINDSHIELD with green band. I am called by a rep to be informed, I ordered some other glass and the windshield cost will now be $380! What other glass on my car has a green tint band???? I immediately requested a cancellation.
As an experiment, I returned to the site to attain a new quote for a WINDSHIELD and received the same internet price for a WINDSHIELD replacement!
This company has horrible customer service. I called to cancel an appointment. Three different times they disconnected my call. Got the run around for the supervisor named [redacted]. Not sure he even exists. Bud was able to cancel my appointment after Rude and nasty. I already sent the tech away. Lots of hidden charges. Restocking fees. Do not use this company. Horrible.
I was a little skeptical about these guys given the number of negative online reviews, but I decided to give them a shot since their price was over $70 cheaper than another major known glass replacement company. I received a quote and scheduled my appointment on a Saturday night. I received a call on Monday morning from a sales rep. to confirm my appointment and order details. The installer called on Tuesday morning to give me the time of his arrival. He called back later in the morning to let me know that the windshield he had been provided was cracked. He needed to go back to Atlanta to get another. So we rescheduled for the next morning. He arrived on time Wednesday morning and installed my new windshield. He is an independent contractor with over 30 years experience in the business. He did a great job, and I am very pleased with his work and the customer service.
Review: On Monday, I contracted to have my windshield replaced on Tuesday, March 17th, between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm. At noon, Windshield Guru, a/k/a Auto Glass Guru, called to say they would have to reschedule to Wednesday. I informed them that I needed my car done on Tuesday, as contracted, or I would have to get someone else to do it if they could not perform as contracted. The CS girl said they would cancel and 'refund' - I inquired what was to refund since nothing was to have been charged until the work was performed. She went into a dialog about 'pre-authorization' and that nothing had been charged to my bank account which, of course, I am on=line and seeing that $253 has already been placed as a pending charge. I ask for it to be released immediately. She says it will be done as we speak (this is all on Tuesday). I check today, Wednesday, and there is still the pending charge. My bank says as of this moment, nothing as been cancelled and they can't handle as fraud until they have refused in writing to cancel the charge. The bank says it will probably 'go away'.....I doubt that! This company is NOT what good business practices are all about - they are a scam!Desired Settlement: You didn't do the work, give me my $253 back!

So I pretty much just payed 500 for a windshield. Supposedly customer service is going to call me today but I really doubt it, I had confidence that this was going to be an easy well done job. Boy was I wrong now im about to have to deal with the fraud department with my credit card o I can get my money back. This has been an aweful experience and I really hope who reads this understands my warning. Just use another company even if autoglassguru has a coupon, it will be cheaper and you want have to deal with rude people that are offended at you when you call for what seems to be a simple mistake and then be treated like a criminal.
