I contacted this company before my phone got shut off and before I left the hospitalTo explain the situation I tried to give the car back in august since I couldn't pay for it I told them I was trying to do the right thing and they told me they didn't want the car back and they would not come get it My parents even talked to these people on the phone and told them the situationWith my father being a sgt major in the army they lied to him about my car and told him that they were not coming to pick it upSo that is a lie and I can prove everything I sayI can get phone records from where I talked to this company before I left the hospital telling them I couldn't pay and that they could have the car back since I couldn't pay for it.I still believe this is preadatory lending and want this off my credit reportI am going to file a complaint with the attorney generals office to coincide with this one also
We have spoken to *** *** She has chosen to return the vehicle to us and sign the title over in lieu of having to finish out the terms of the contract We agreed that we would not deem the return a voluntary repossession and she would not have to make any more payments She

Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] brought their vehicle to Auto Credit of Southern Illinois on Saturday, August 8, 2015 and stated that she did not want the vehicle. I talked to her and explained that we would like to help her figure out why it sometimes...
would start, and sometimes would not. We assisted her in the cost of multiple trips to a mechanic to try various things. She left the vehicle and both sets of keys she had to the vehicle. It told her I would once again have our shop look at the vehicle at no charge to her to see if we could figure out the intermittent starting issue. I had our technician look into it last week, and we discovered that there was one factory Ford key, and one that was an aftermarket key. When we started the vehicle with the factory Ford key, it would start every time. When you tried with the one that was not factory, it would not start. Every time you attempt to start the car with the non Ford key, it will put an anti-theft code in the computer. When we hooked the car to a scanner, we could see many anti-theft codes in it. I called Mrs. [redacted] on Friday as promised and explained the situation to her and that our shop was sure this was the issue. She said she was in a vehicle and would have to call me back. I have not heard back from Mrs. [redacted], and she has not come to pick her vehicle up at this point. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to call me.
Ms. [redacted] did indeed purchase a Pontiac G6 from [redacted] on 9/30/2016. This vehicle was financed with Auto Credit of Southern Illinois. The garage that her vehicle was looked at is an independent mechanic’s shop that is not owned by either [redacted] or Auto Credit...
of Southern Illinois. They did not recommend fixing anything that was dangerous at that time. She wrecked her vehicle shortly thereafter. There is no evidence that the two issues were related. She did not have any insurance on her vehicle, so the Collateral Protection Insurance that is carried through an outside insurance company that protects the loan evaluated her vehicle. They deemed it a total loss. There is a remaining balance 6903.07 on the loan. The mechanic is not “our” mechanic. If Ms. [redacted] has an issue with the mechanic, then I suggest she talks to [redacted] Automotive. If you have any questions, please let me know. I can be reached at [redacted].
Ms [redacted] was approved for a vehicle loan with Auto Credit of Southern Illinois on 9/17/16. When a customer is approved in the store, and approval sheet is presented to them at the time of the approval. This approval sheet explains the down payments to them prior to the customer even taking...
a test drive. The sale that we ran for temperature plus tax down was ran for the month of August, 2016, so it was over when Ms [redacted] got approved. The vehicles are broken out into different category of pricing. To make it simple, we put different color plates on them to signify the different categories of pricing. There are green, red and blue plates. Down payments can vary depending on the individual approval. Blue plates will typically start at 1500 down and go up from there. Ms. [redacted] came and looked at vehicles in our Marion location on 9/17/16 , but did not have enough money to put the down payment required on them at the time. We are always happy to disclose down payments (we do so when we get them approved) and a pricing chart is hung in each store so there is no guess work in how much our vehicles cost. She then later went to our Mt Vernon location because it was closer to her. She told them that someone at the Marion store had told her $800 down on a blue plate. We keep a database with each customer's approval and any notes of what may have happened. We do not have any notes that state we had quoted that down payment. We attempted to explain the down payment structure, however, Ms. [redacted] was not happy and stated to us that she would prefer to purchase elsewhere. There is no bait and switch attempted. We will be happy to disclose any information to a customer that they request. If you have any questions, please contact me at [redacted].
