For many years, our insurance agency wrote the ERISA Bond coverage as required by the federal government for Austin James Associates pension plan.
As an agent, we are responsible for continuity of coverage, so when the policy came up for renewal and we could not reach the client, we advanced the $447. for the three year bond.
Three months after billing and when we finally got them to pick up the phone, they said they didn't need the coverage. Strange, it's a requirement by law. Since the policy is fully earned, I asked for a letter to be written declining coverage needs so that I MIGHT get our money back that we advanced. Mr. Curtis H[redacted] said he would do that for me. We confirmed that he would write this letter at least two times.
Well, he lied. He never did this and we are still out the money we advanced.
I would never do business, nor trust what Mr. H[redacted] has to say.
