Technician worked on my computer from 10p.m. Until 4 a.m. July [redacted], 2015. Yet they have a typed Proof of Service Delivered with an electronic signature timed at 2015-07--** 21:21:40. Obviously the work wasn't done then, nor did I have this document to read. The email I received I believed to be from Microsoft and believed it that I needed to call them. I am 89 years old, the widow of 2 war veterans, and not used to staying up til 4 a.m. I don't know if I had a Trojan or not. My family said I had been scammed, I called my bank to report this and stop payment of $598. on my credit card. I emailed Audney to cancel the service the next day. Please warn others.

Review: On Tuesday, ** Oct 2013 I, [redacted], contacted [redacted], Inc. in regards to fixing the problem of my HP Laptop computer speaker not working.

While talking on the phone with the [redacted], Inc. technician, I agreed to allow him to take remote control of my computer. After ‘troubleshooting’ my computer, the technician told me that my computer needed to be “optimized” and that in order to “optimize” my computer I word have to purchase Google Chrome and have it installed on my computer for $169.99. I reluctantly agreed.

After having Google Chrome installed, my computer speaker still was not working. I informed the [redacted], Inc. technician of this. Remotely, he took a few minutes and then restored my computer speaker. I then got off the phone with the [redacted], Inc. technician.

Soon after starting to use Google Chrome I realized that, number 1, I had had no need to purchase it and, number 2, Google Chrome caused my computer to have more problems. For example, I originally streamed video on Internet Explorer. With Google Chrome installed I could stream video on Google Chrome (lower quality), but not on Internet Explorer. Also, if I watched videos on YouTube using Google Chrome, my computer would crash after about 10 minutes.

I made several attempts with [redacted], Inc. to solve these problems to no avail. Finally, on Thursday, ** Dec 2013 I called [redacted], Inc. and informed them that I wanted Google Chrome un-installed from my computer and that I wanted my $169.99 refunded to me. After much haggling with the representative, he informed me that my request would be sent to the proper personnel in the company and that they would contact me in 24-48 hours. I was never contacted.

On Thursday, ** Jan 2014 I called [redacted], Inc. and informed them again that I wanted Google Chrome un-installed from my computer and that I wanted my $169.99 refunded to me. After much haggling, the technician finally un-installed Google Chrome from my computer. Afterward, he told me that, in regards to my wanted a refund of $169.99, he would talk to the proper personnel in the company and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. Again, I was never contacted.

On Monday, ** Feb 2014, I called [redacted], Inc. and informed them again that I wanted my $169.99 refunded to me. The representative with whom I spoke put me on hold. After 5-10 minutes, the line went dead. I immediately called them back. The representative apologized to me and again put me on hold. After 1-2 minutes the line again went dead.Desired Settlement: I desire to have $169.99 (the original purchase amount) refunded to me in full.

Review: [redacted] offer me to help me for one year if have some troubles with my computer, I paid at first $69.00 for one time. I need them again and told me if I want their help for one year and ask me for $169.99. I paid this amount They were helping me until I went in a trip for 3 months to Mexico. When I came back I call them and never answer my calls, either in the phone or in the computer. I can to find the receipt for $169.99. I paid this amount to them. I have the first receipt only. Is why I put the date they send this receipt. The people use to answered to me some sound like they were from India. Is why I was suspicious of fraud. I don't know if they steel my money or what. I send a letter to this address in [redacted]. in December [redacted], 2013. but they never answered my letter. I am ** years old and I m a writer. Just I have 3 years writing, I don't have business with the things I write I do for distraction, because I like to have some therapy for myself. I don't think is fair what this people is doing to me. I will be very grateful with your help. I am sending copy from the letter I wrote to [redacted]. Thanks for your attention. [redacted]Desired Settlement: Please, I wish this people keep helping me but if is not. I need my money back at least one half.

Review: On Sept. **, 2013, I called this company looking for help because I got locked out of my Hotmail email account. I was told my computer had a virus and this was a time sensitive matter and if I did not purchase their services immediately it would destroy my email and possibly the rest of the files on my computer. I was also told that a certain online form I inquired about (that asked for my personal information and said if I provided it I could reset my password and regain access to my account) was part of the virus and not to fill it out. I therefore proceeded to pay $169.99 for them to remove the virus from my computer and install anti-virus protection. I later found out that this information was not true and that I merely needed to fill out said online form to regain access to my account. I then called and cancelled my service on Sept. **, 2013, and the company agreed to give me a partial refund, minus a cancellation fee. However, the refund never went through, and I have called multiple times and given them my information over and over and still have yet to see the money, although they have agreed to now give me a full refund because of all the problems I've encountered. It has been 6 weeks my account has still received no refund and I am no longer able to contact their customer service line, and am not receiving calls back even though I request them.Desired Settlement: I was charged $169.99 for their services. I cancelled these on Sept.**, 2013 and requested a full refund, which they acknowledged and said they would refund. However, 6 weeks and many many phone calls later, my money has still not been refunded and my calls are no longer being returned. I would like the $169.99 refunded to my account as soon as possible.

Review: I purchased their services in hopes that they would fix my computer. I paid $299.99 for the help I expected. Instead, whatever they did to my computer not only made it worse but completely wiped my computer clean of my saved files and work. At this point I had to go out and purchase and entire new system because of what they did costing me another 506 dollars. I literally spent hours and days working with them on the telephone while they took control of my computer. They did nothing to fix my problem, only made them worse. Even on one occasion as one of the employees attempted to work with me they downloaded pornographic images that I had to see. After all this I decided to cancel the service. After waiting for hours AGAIN, I spoke with [redacted] (the [redacted]) and he apologized and told me on February **, that they would issue me a complete refund of $299.99. My credit card company tried to contact them and told them they had to wait 45 minutes so I issued a complaint through my credit card company toward [redacted]. The credit card company issued me a refund and they are going to dispute this with [redacted] and put them under investigation. The bank told me they had 40 days to respond to that. I told the credit card company that [redacted] will give them the run around just as they did me.Desired Settlement: I would like them to issue the complete refund that [redacted] promised me, and also notify other potential consumers to avoid their services or lack there of.

Review: Pop up on my computer said I needed to call number to fix problem. I called the number and gave access to my computer to a technician. I initially agreed to pay $399.99 for 3 years of tech support. During the process I contacted my wife who looked the company up on the internet. She found many complaints. People were saying it was a scam. I then sent a message for the technician to stop, I had changed my mind. He completed what he was doing and gave me control of my computer. He had access to my computer for about 1 hour. I shut the computer down. When I tried to access it afterward it would not start up and then the screen went black. I took it back where I bought it and they worked on it for several days and the result was that I had to buy a new computer. Audney agreed to refund $300 after I requested the technician to stop. I have this in an email they sent to me. After having to buy a new computer I contacted them back and after a lengthy heated conversation they agreed verbally to refund the entire amount. Today they contacted me and told me they were unable to refund my money. They said our account was blocked. We checked with our bank and they said that they needed to try again. Everything was okay for the refund. Audney said they could only make one attempt. Now they say they need access to my new computer to complete my refund. I don't know what having access to my computer has to do with processing my refund. I asked them to send me a check and they said they do not do that. If I do not give them access to my new computer they will not give me my refund.Desired Settlement: I would just like to have my money back. I have an email stating that they will refund my money. I think they should honor that.
