I went to ATI in April-May 2014. I was receiving both PT and OT. After I had been there two weeks, I was told that since I was completing the therapies back to back, I would only be charged for one visit. I paid at the end of each week. After therapy was over, I was sent a bill for each of the therapies, totaling over $300. The only bill should have been the final evaluation, which would not have been a total of $300+. I talked to the billing department at least three times, explaining the situation. Each time I was told that it would be looked into and taken care of. Nothing happened. I kept getting the bills. I finally decided that it was far too much trouble and started paying the bill. I paid off one of the accounts in January 2015. Two weeks ago, I received a bill of $66.59 for the paid off account. When I questioned it, I was told that a charge from April 7, 2014 had not yet been billed to me and that I would have to pay that money. Obviously, after a year, my insurance paid little, if any, of that charge. What company charges you for a service after a year? Do not go to ATI! Though the OT therapist was excellent, the PT therapist barely spoke to me; she was too busy discussing her personal life with her colleagues.
Review: I had a brace made March 10 by ATI in Middletown Delaware by [redacted]. I wore the brace when it started to blister my thumb. I called [redacted] & she had me come back in on March 19. It was the soonest we could get together with her schedule & it's 40 miles round trip for me. She worked on the brace and added mole skin. I used the brace until today March 20. The brace still pinches and is giving me a blister on my palm at the base of my right pointing finger. I called [redacted] and she told me to stop using the brace. I asked her what I was to do with it and was it returnable since it didn't work correctly from day one. She said no & Me & my ins. co. still had to pay for it. Why do I or my Ins. Co. have to pay for a product that does not work as implied ? I called the INS. CO & they said the claim was in progress & if I stopped it the entire cost would fall on me. This is one reason Ins. costs are so high and cannot be afforded. $329.00 for a brace that can't be used. I will never go to ATI nor would I recommend them to anyone. Dr. Eichenbaum wrote the Pres. for the brace & escorted me to ATI, which is attached to his office to have the brace pres. filled. I am canceling my appointment with him also. This ATI fiasco made me lose any trust in him. I will also be taking ATI to Small Claims Court. [redacted] told me to go ahead and file a complaint. She said she doesn't care and it doesn't matter toDesired Settlement: I want ATI to withdraw their claim for this defective, unusable brace from my Insurance Co.. I will gladly return the brace as I offered to do in the very beginning.
