Review: We moved into our new location on Jan. 1, 2013. Nearly 4 month later, we still did not have complete phone service. ATN failed to accomplish their duty to have our phones up and operating on Jan. 1, when we moved in. Because it was not done, we had to maintain two phone accounts (AT&T and Comcast) The first part of the problem was ATN not being successful at getting our numbers ported to AT&T in a reasonable time frame. First it was because they lost the LOA, the required form for requesting the phones be ported. After that, I have no idea how it could have taken so long. The manager at ATN, [redacted], had proven himself to be unable to do his job. He made numerous promises to me that he personally would get the job done. Every time I called to check the status, I was told that he was either out or in a meeting. I was told that he would call back, but that never happened. Three and a half months into the process, I could take no more. We contacted AT&T directly and was able to get the job done. It took us just a few days to complete the process and by the end of month four, we were finally up.Additionally, ATN was to transfer all our phone lines. Somehow, they missed our 877 line causing it to be disconnected. Again, we had to do the work to get it back up because they would not return my calls nor handle the problem. They also failed to pay attention to details. They said they would port our numbers to AT&T, but that was impossible. AT&T would not be able to use our existing phone numbers at our new location. That is something ATN should have informed us about. It now costs me up to $200 a month to use call forwarding to be able to use our existing number which is widely published. In short, working with ATN has been the worst experience of my 35 years in business.Desired Settlement: I believe ATN owes me the expenses incurred for having to have two phone accounts. Approx. $250 per month for 4 months.
