My wife and I were looking for white or grey furniture that would match are newly painted room. The only white furniture was youth furniture so we went with grey. Before the purchase I asked several times that this was grey furniture and then they said yes. We went with Ashley's moving service to make sure no damage would occur with the delivery. Upon arrival we received dark brown furniture and asked them to take the furniture back, this is not what we ordered. The moving company comes back and states a rail on the furniture is damaged. Since we never touched the furniture, Ashley Furniture Homestore either sent us damaged furniture or the movers damaged the furniture in movement. Since furniture was received wrapped in plastic instead of boxed I suspect we received the floor room furniture without our consent. Damaged rails usually occur after opening and closing the drawers many times. So now I am paying for $258.00 in shipment and an undisclosed damage cost. They said they would reimburse me minus the shipping cost. I am uncertain what the damage cost is yet since the shippers made the claim. Since they were in error (wrong color furniture) I request full reimbursement including shipping.
This item only comes in the color, which is what was delivered (brown). The consumer was aware of the color prior to ordering. We open and inspect all furniture upon receiving it and re-wrap items prior to sending/delivering to consumers to check for damages and ensure items are as ordered. We brought the furniture back to the store a few days after delivery, as that is within that stores return policy. There was no damage noted upon delivery or when the delivery staff picked up items. The return/refund policy does not cover delivery and/or pick up fees ($149.00 to deliver and $149.00 to pick up).We took items back and refunded this consumer prior to this complaint being filed. The only item that has not been returned or refunded to him was the delivery and pick up fees, again, as this is not covered in our policy.

I am rejecting this response because: The business is lying. The worker stated the furniture was in grey and I even asked before purchasing the furniture to make sure it was grey and she stated yes. You also missed the second part of the question on why the movers stated the furniture was damaged when they picked it up. I suspect it was a ploy to gain additional funding or the store tried to sell us floor room furniture without our consent.
