When my fiancé and I went to purchase our living room couch, the salesman that worked with us mislead us and provided false information making us purchase a warranty. He made us believe that any damage that our dog may do to the couch, it would be fully covered. The fabric on this couch is not a durable couch fabric at all whether humans or animals sit on the couch. The couch seems have separated on one section of the couch. When my fiancé called the company that provides the furniture regarding the seems being separated due to the dog, the initial agent stated to send her pictures and this would be covered. A call was then placed to me where I was told the claim was denied as dog issues are not covered. We called back and spoke a second agent that would not budge on the situation that the salesman false advertised and got us to get a warranty when we would not have done so if it did not cover the dog. The agent we spoke to stated that he would send the pieces out, but would not have a handyman come to put it together. My fiancé advised that this is not a solution to this problem as then we would have to pay for a repair out of pocket when we were falsely led to believe that this should have been covered by the salesman and the initial customer service agent we spoke with when explaining the situation. My fiancé did advise that a higher complaint would be filed as the second agent then advised that the salesman no longer worked at the location and we were unable to know the reason why whether he was terminated for falsifying information or false advertising.
