I am rejecting this response because: Hello,I had received a message about the issue being settled by arya danceacaedemyI regretfully inform you that I have not received any refund todate and it has been over weeks.o will forward a letter from my creditcard company

The account was resolved after the conversation with the family on 2/ A check has been issued

The family will be refunded. The family registered for classes last week and we informed them of the policy of the trial classes. As they were not satisfied with the information given, they have chosen to discontinue. We have input this request already as it was done on Thursday
11/13. Refunds normally take 2-weeks to reflect on the statement. It has now been days. As no classes were attended, there will be a full refund. Also please note the family registered online and made a payment on their own. Pro-rations are done manually and it was indicated to the family that was the reason for the overcharge. There is also the option to skip payment when registering. Our website simply states if you wish to receive emails about your class location the payment is due. However it does not mandate it.The family will see their refund in 2-weeks.Thank you

THe email option was selected in their system but their system is not sending emails to me. This was verified with the instructor as well. In such case, there was no communication made to us regarding a cancellation policy. Plus, the service is not going to start until 2nd week of January. Why this business is pushing for charging for the future services especially they know I do not have interest to continue.

Review: We registered for a dance class at Arya academy and also attended a trial class (Clifton location). Our son did not like it nor were there any boys in the class (one of our main requirements). We were not given any form to fill out in the class. 2 weeks later we were charged $220 for the class that we did not intend on taking. On contacting the company, they refused to issue us a refund saying that we should have filled up the form (which was not given to us at the trial class). So we decided to take the class at other location (paramus). We went for the class on the date and time mentioned to us only to find out that there is no class on that location. This company not only took our money but also refuses to issue us a refund. Can you please look into this?

About us:

Name: [redacted]Desired Settlement: Please refund us the full amount on our credit card

Business

Response:

The family was charged 323 dollars as no drop form was received as per Arya Dance Academy policy. Our fully online system does indicate the policy as does our website. Parents must accept the below terms of agreement prior to enrolling in a class. As no drop form was received by the family, no refunds were applicable. This was explained to the family.

Please see http://www.aryaintl.com/page.php?link_name=tuition (where it indicates the drop policy)

Terms of Agreement:

I have received or will be responsible to obtain a copy of Arya Dance Academy policies and will take the responsibility to carefully read and follow the rules and policies therein. I understand that Arya Dance Academy does not given credit and/or refunds for classes(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc. Furthermore, I have authorized recurring payments and enrollment (no tuition refunds) if the drop form is not received in a timely manner in accordance with drop dates provided by Arya Dance Academy. In addition, I understand that there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result form my or my child's participation with Arya Dance Academy, and I voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation.

The family has been removed from the roster but are not eligible for a refund as per our policy.

If you have any other questions, please do let me know and we request the reversal of the chargeback.

Thank you

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

Two reasons:

1] there was no form given to us at the location as was explained by the business associate on the phone. So we were not aware that the amount will be charged to our account. This so called form is not the drop off form but some other form which was to be considered as a receipt. The associates mentioned that they will speak to the teacher on the location as to whether or not this form was in fact given. They never checked and got back to us in spite of calling them repeatedly. The charges showed up on our account 3 weeks after the trial class.

2] We were ready to attend class at other location and were assigned to Paramus location on Sunday. On the given date and time, there was no class and was told that the class has been canceled. We also tried for other location with no luck. It looks like the dance academy is not really interested in honoring their service.

With this kind of customer service, we are really not interested in pursuing this class any further and want a full refund.

Review: I was a student registered in ARya Dance School for session starting in Sep2015. Payment was made through my credit card well before session staretd.

ON the first day of the session, it was mentioned that the class timing will be changed and there was a conflict in my case. Hence I submitted a Drop Confirmation as expected by Arya Dance School on Sep15th.

Till date I have not received the refund. I have contacted them through emails and phone calls over and over with no use. On 9th FEB, I was told they will check the bank to ensure what they claim as a check sent to me was not cleared and send me a new check. Today -16th FeB 2016 and still they say they have not heard from the bank.

Three of us in the session who all had to drop out of class due to the timing change, have not received the refund yet.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my refund as soon as possible.

Review: Registered my daughter for a summer dance camp in Bothell, Washington to happen the middle of August 2013. Charges appeared on my credit card on 7/24/13 in the amount of $90.00. Two days before the class was to start, I received a call indicating call has been cancelled due to low participation. I was informed a credit should appear on my credit card within 6 to 8 week. As of today, no credit has appeared. I have made various attempts calling and each time I am told the accountant will look at this and take care of it. Today, I was told the accountant will not be in this week as this individual is in the hospital. When I went on their website with my log in information, it shows a credit of $90 on my account.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit due back to me on my Mastercard.

Business

Response:

As the credit is showing in the customer's account, the account was worked on by our billing company (we use a third party to handle all of our payments). If you do not see it on your credit card, the most we can do is issue a check. Please email your mailing address and whom you would like to make the check out to - to register[redacted]

Apologies for the delay and we will resolve this for you.

Please feel free to contact me should any parties have any questions. Thank you.

Review: I am not able to get a refund from Arya for my son's tution even after 2.5 months. I've called them several times and emailed too.

I had to cancel my son's dance class with Arya and submitted the withdrawal form in time and got a confirmation that the refund will be processed I did not get any refund. I have made a total of 6 calls so far. These are the reasons give.

- Will be credited to credit card next week - been 2.5 months no credit yet

- Will be send a cheque to house - no cheque yet after a month

- Accountant is busy in conference

- Accountant in on vacation

- Accountant will call back been a week no call yet

and so many other reasons.

Essentially they are not refunding since few months now. They have to be professional if running a dance school. I am quite frustrated as I feel cheated. There are plenty of similar complaints on the internet, it seems like they never issue refunds and need to be stopped for fraudulent practices. This issue has caused me enough mental pain and suffering.Desired Settlement: I need a refund of my money.

Review: The company refuses to refund the cost of classes that will not be attended. The service provided by this organization is unethical and unfair practices & caters to only a few of the class students. I no longer wish to attend a class where students are discriminated and not treated fairly. Arya refuses to refund my money and says it will provide a credit to use in the future at Arya. What good is the credit if I do not plan to return.Desired Settlement: I want my Credit Card refunded for the Classes I will not attend (May & June 2015).

Review: Arya school has opened branches in Houston. The website encourages registration and selection of classes and payment for the classes.I did register for classes in spring, friday evening ad they initially billed me for $265.33. each class is $17 and for 3 months.when I called them they admitted they overbilled me and said they would credit me, which was fine with me.When I called to confirm the class location at the Holiday inn, they said they do not have a studio and they want to come home and do the class. My friend and I were supposed to take the class. I did tell them that my home was not an option as I was uncomfortable having a stranger come to my home. They continued to insist that they want to have the class at my place!!.Furthermore they do not have a studio or classes at spring they advertise and charge for!!They also refuse to refund the money they charged for the classes they have not held nor do they assure me that the classes are going to be held.To me it is outrageous that they think they can scam people with false advertisement and disclaim it and charge for a service they are not planning to provide and refuse to refund money they have charged for services not provided.Desired Settlement: I would like them to refund my charges and also discourage them from fraud regarding false advertisement, fake classes and falsely charging for serviced they do not provide and have no intention of providing.

Review: The business has charged without my consent for the services that I never registered for. The business is holding me responsible for someone at their facility registering my kids for services that I did not intend nor planned to receive. The business had my credit card number when I had paid for services that my kids received had received in the past. Trying to make contact with the business had not been fruitful. There are other parents that have been charged for the same services that I am getting charged for without their consent.Desired Settlement: The business has not been co-operative at all. I have contacted them several times and currently I have submitted dispute through my bank,

Review: A service (dance classes) offered in apple valley in 2010 for 2011 classes . No classes ever held as apparently they did not have a teacher and never held classes. Called and requested refund for 3 years(about 700 dollars) spent over 10 hours talking on the phone . talked to owner ([redacted] ) and her employees multiple times . No respone and money not being refunded.Desired Settlement: Refund money and compensate for time spent and wasted on the effort . The company can only be called during business hours and I have to waste time during my business hours to talk to them .

Response:

After closely looking at the account for Ms. [redacted] we do recognize there is a pending refund in the amount of 657. Due to a technicality, a refund had not been issued although the staff had submitted it when Ms[redacted] had called into the office. All refunds are done through our billing company.

Also please note that like most businesses we do only operate business hours (10-5pm EST). As Ms[redacted] is located on the west coast it does require her to contact us earlier however this has not changed since Ms[redacted] joined Arya. We do apologize any inconveniences this may have caused her.

A check will be released by August 14th, 2013.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9626584, and find that this resolution is satisfactory if it is followed through. The check need to me made in my name [redacted] and mailed by fedex or UPS to my current address of [redacted]. I do not want the check sent by regular mail. I need a tracking number so that I am assured mail delivery.

Arya dance academy is asking for 3 weeks to mail a check that they have owed for 2 years. I would appreciate if Revdex.com of new jersey keeps this case open till I have received my payment

Review: I enrolled for dance classes for my daughter via email for 3 sessions.

After first sesison I sent am email for cancellation for next session. Same email was used for enrollment. They didnt cancel the classes or replied back to my email. In next 2 days I see a charge on my credit card.

when I called them they said its thier policy to not take cancellation through email. I have to submit a request form to cancel.

This type of policy was never communicated to me. They could have simply replied to my email, but they chose not to respond and charge the credit card. They said I need to sign up for receiving email from them. I sent them screenshot in my online profile that shows the email option was selected. So, basically they respond to your email selectvely, when you are enrolling, they are happy to respond and then cancelling, come up with excuses.

Whenever I call them, they refuse to answer for this and they hung up on me 2 times. I tried to remove my credit card info from online profile and they dont let it do either.Desired Settlement: Proceed the cancellation as requested and refund the money.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern According the family they have emailed regarding discontinuation however that is not the policy as per Arya Dance Academy. An email reminder was sent to all families with the drop form however the family had chosen "Do Not Send Emails to Family" in their online account that they created, hence did not receive the courtesy email. The information was also provided by the staff. We have an email from the instructor indicating the payment instructions were received to which the family verified how to continue. This same email and paperwork has the drop dates as well listed. The family did not follow the protocol set forth by the company and hence was charged. Families also accept a terms and conditions in which it indicates there will be recurring payments. We have offered the family a credit for future use however they were not satisfied with our compromise as we normally do not issue refunds. The credit for future use is still available if they would like. Thank you

SINCE SEPTEMBER 2014, WE HAVE BEEN REQUESTING A REFUND. CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE BEEN ASSURED A REFUND HAS BEEN PROCESSED. THE CALLS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED BY LESLIE ON THE MAIN PHONE NUMBER. The account was resolved after the conversation with the family on 2/26. A check has been issued.

Review: Below please find a copy of my last email to them after trying to reach them over a week, explaining to a supervisor which gave me no reasonable answer and then added injury to insult by threatening that if I didn't complete next form in Feb of 2014-unreasonable as my child will not be in class-they would charge again. I said I needed the form sent to me today for immediate un-enrollment-still not received. They send info from 2 separate email accts and some of their emails go to junk mail. Very concerned about how they treat non-Indian clients. I am shocked at their demeanor and lack of assistance.

I strongly feel they discriminate against Non-Indian people. I joined due to Indian friends recommending, and they are appalled at Arya's response and their policies for first time members which are not aware of all their common known policies and do not know what to look out for.

I SIGNED UP FOR A SESSION THAT ENDS DECEMBER NOT A FULL YEAR. THEY CHARGING MY DEBIT BANK CARD for class child not signed up for

To Whom It May Concern,

As per my phone conversation with [redacted] today, I am placing a complaint in with the Revdex.com and having my bank resolve issue and try to collect my money.

I recvd the email on Nov 13 apparently in my junk mail then found later and had to have form completed on Nov 16th? That is not a great amount of time.

In addition I tried to reason that I am a first time customer and did not know what to expect come new schedule. You have no policy in place to address new comers and keeping them appraised of how billing/refunding works.

I feel you gave me a very unreasonable answer to my request. [redacted] would not let me speak to anyone else and said there is nothing she could do. Added insult to injury, by requesting that I keep track of the next drop form coming in February or else I would be charged again. That is ridiculous. I asked that the form be sent to me now.

I would appreciate a call back and I have been calling for over a week.Desired Settlement: Policy is unreasonable to begin with-$323.00 full fee for a class my daughter will not attend due to numerous issues encountered with the facility and the instructor. I do not wish to expand on this but have talked to them personally about the complaints. I signed up for one semester class not a full year. What gives them the right to keep charging my card?

I think I am being reasonable and they are not willing to consider any negotiation.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern:

I have attempted responding to complaint [redacted] via the online system however the system is showing a server error. Therefore I am sending the response via email.

This is in response to a complaint filed by the [redacted] family. Arya Dance Academy conducts a year long dance program in which the full year tuition is split into 3 installments. Families enrolled in the installment program are able to withdraw via submission of a drop form by a set drop date. Failure to submit the form results in the charge for the next term as we are a full year program. The [redacted] family called on 12/10/13 to withdraw, about 3 weeks after our withdrawal date passed (Nov 16th was the drop date). As it was past the drop date, no refunds are applicable. The family went back and forth via email after speaking to [redacted] in the same regard. We offered to ask to see if we can get any approval of any exceptions, but the family was not ready to wait as this would take a couple days.

We did want to indicate that each family agrees to a terms of agreement before enrolling in the classes. The family indicated that they registered over the phone, which we do not have any record of, when notified of this. She also acknowledged receipt of the payment information which clearly indicates the same information. I have attached material, including a reminder email, sent to all families.

Terms of agreement that all families must accept before making a payment:

I have received or will be responsible to obtain a copy of Arya Dance Academy policies and will take the responsibility to carefully read and follow the rules and policies therein. I understand that Arya Dance Academy does not given credit and/or refunds for class(es) missed due to holiday, vacation, illness, weather, etc. Furthermore, I have authorized recurring payments and enrollment (no tuition refunds) if the drop form is not received in a timely manner in accordance with drop dates provided by Arya Dance Academy. In addition, I understand that there are specific risks of physical or property damages, losses, or injury that may result form my or my child's participation with Arya Dance Academy, and | voluntarily assume the risks associated with such participation.

We can offer a credit for $323 for future use in their Arya account, but unfortunately we have a very strict no refund policy

Review: I had registered my child with Arya Dance Academy in May/Jun earlier this year. At that time accidentally I had selected two classes and payment was made to Arya. Later I had exchanged emails with them about the cancellation of the second class and asked for refund. They agreed for the refund as well. Since then I have been chasing them and I still don't have the refund. They initially said it will be refunded to the same credit card which was charged in Jun 2015. Then they said something went wrong and they will send a check. I haven't got the check yet. There is no response for my email or phone calls. This is a very unethical business practice and should not be allowed to continue business. I request that a strong action be taken against Arya International Dance Academy and have then process my refund. I know atleast one another parent who has the same issue and waiting for the refund.Desired Settlement: This is a very unethical business practice and should not be allowed to continue business. I request that a strong action be taken against Arya International Dance Academy and have then process my refund. I know atleast one another parent who has the same issue and waiting for the refund.

Response:

The amount was adjusted into their second session fees and therefore no refund is currently pending. The amount showing as a credit was applied directly to the fees due for future classes. We apologize this was not resolved sooner.
