Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/30) */
The staining of the concrete is not effected. We had many problems with the coating. The first time was due to the client turning on the HVAC after we shut it off. There were other problems after that. I am willing to hire another...
contractor who is more experienced than I to properly fix the coating issues. The coating can be fixed properly without having to do the entire floor over.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 8, 2015/08/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
After the first coating, we never turned on the HVAC. We never even came out of our bedroom. If Artisan can hire a competent contractor to fix the existing issues, we would be fine with that. I was told by Artisan in order to fix the coating, it would need to be removed with acid, which may change the coloring of the stain in the area needing to be fixed. If the color is changed in the repaired areas, it seems to me the entire floor needs to be restained after removal of the epoxy coating. But I am open to any input another contractor may have.
