Called a month earlier for an appointment with an Optometrist (OD) for my annual eye exam and gave my insurance specifics, and if needed I'll be looking for new prescription glasses.
On the day, I drove 70 miles to the Scotdale, AZ location, only to find out they had me set up with an Ophthalmologist, who doesn't perform annual eye exam, nor accept my insurance, their response was ..."oppps, we made a mistake, we can re-schedule you for another appointment in a month...", how UNPROFESSIONAL people...😱.
If I missed an appointment without calling 24hrs. prior, I'd be charged ... Will they credit me for driving so far to only find they screw up my appointment?... I don't think so...again not professional.
Additionally, they had so many people in the waiting room they spilled out to the courtyard...something is very wrong with their Appointment setting services.
Dear [redacted]In response to your letter to the RevDex.com, Arizona Eye Specialists would like to accommodate your request by waiving any unpaid balance that you owe at this time. Also, we would like to provide you with...
your contact lens prescription that you have requested. A copy of your prescription has been mailed to your home address. In researching your complaint details, we noted through the entire recorded phone call that you were requesting the following items to be completed during your appointment:• Eye Examination (Refraction). The cost for this service is $50.00.• Contact lens Prescription (Contact Lens Fitting). The cost of this service ranges between $75.00 to $250.00.Please note, that in order to get a contact lens prescription these two services are necessary and customary. The Eye Examination includes a "refraction of your eyes" which allows us the ability to determine the glasses prescription which is then converted into a contact lens prescription. The Contact lens Prescription (known as a fitting for contact lenses) is used to determine the measurements needed for the lenses as well as the diameter and base curve. These measurements are then used in calculating and determining the materials and selection of lenses. This also includes future follow-up appointments once the lenses are selected. A prescription is then written for the patient based on both of these services. As you noted, you may purchase your lenses with one of the optical/contact lens departments or from an outside provider.According to your exam notes, meeting with your physician, talking with our Appointment Center Supervisor, the office and listening to the recorded call in its entirety,we are confident that we delivered the services and the expertise that you were requesting at time of scheduling your appointment. Arizona Eye Specialists prides themselves in delivering Outstanding Patient Service to all of our patients since1953, which is a big part of our Mission Statement. We want you to be happy with our services, therefore, we are very happy and pleased to accommodate your request.Any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
