Review: In August, 2013, we had Archadeck build an addition to the existing deck. Initially, we were very happy with the overall product and in fact still are. However, we have had several issues none of which have ever really been resolved. From start to finish, dealing with Bill [redacted] had been a bit of a challenge. First of all, we were told it would take three weeks to complete the project and it took three months. During that time, we had little to no communication with regard to what might be going on. We
would be told that someone would be coming out or work would be done on a particular day then no one shows up. There was no communication about what happened and we found ourselves having to hound the staff. He actually tried to make us pay more for the railings which was not part of the quote because he had to drive to get the extra railing needed. Once the finished product was in place, it looked great but we have had some issues with work done. One of those issues involved the ceiling paneling drooping down. This was fixed and no longer droops but the weight of the paneling bent the siding which we were told would be replaced. It never was. Then in January of 2014, we discovered that the roof was leaking. We were told that it would not be looked at the week we originally contacted the company because of the holiday which is completely understandable. However, even by the middle of January, no on had some out and again there was no communication regarding what needs to be done or when that work might be done. My husband had called and e-mailed Mr. [redacted] and the only response we got was that someone would come out then no one did. At that time, I threatened to contact the Revdex.com if this was not taken care of and still after a certain amount of hounding, we had no real resolution. Eventually, it was fixed but we had some concerns about the condition of the wood under the flashing where the leak was. We felt that this needed to be removed so that the wood could be inspected, appropriately dry out, replaced if necessary, and then have the flashing replaced. There was no response to this concern at all but admittedly it was such a pain to deal with this company that we let it go and satisfied ourselves that at least the roof was not leaking anymore. Fast forward to the present of January 2015 and the roof appears to be leaking in the same place. Now, I have e-mailed this company twice and left a message without any response.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the addition that they built to be fully inspected from top to bottom. I would like for all of the concerns we have regarding this build out addressed especially the roof. If they are not willing to come out to fix it, then they should provide a contractor to come out to do the work for them and they would be responsible for the bill.
