My contractor has been working on my home renovations for 9months.He started back in August 2019 and we had a verbal agreement to have the job completed by November 2019. He stated that the weather pushed him back and he needed extra time so we agreed on December 2019. At the end of December I went to a lawyer had him draw up a demand letter to wrap the renovations up. My contractor contacted me and assured me that he would be done by January 2020. So March 2020 came my renovations were still not completed so I wrote him a demand letter stating he needs to be completed by April 1st 2020 or the original contract will be void and he will not get his final payment. I have given him $30,000 since the project started.
