One year ago, on March 23, 2018 this business owner met me @ my storage yard and agreed to complete engine service, exterior clean-up, bottom paint, wood refinishing, staining, carpet removal and more from a list I texted to him during our meeting. He hitched my boat to his business truck and towed it to his "shop." I insisted on following him there and he showed me around the shop.
*** has been ignoring me and my boat for 11 months. The only work he has completed was cleaning the exterior and providing photos via text in month one. When I returned to his shop a week later, my boat was no where to be found and he men inside didn't recognize him or the boat.
He ran my credit card for $2,001 and to-date date has avoided providing an invoice, as requested numerous times. He removed the transom, cuddy doors, batteries & other items (some which he tossed into the boat. See photo attached); He has ignored calls & voice mails consistently over this 1 year period. When he did answer, he made multiple excuses; the upholsterers were booked solid, he's too busy working on other boats, etc.
I didn't know where the boat was until last week or if he was a legitimate service provider.
I travel extensively for the government as a disaster employee, and spent much of last year in NC, NY & GA. I began calling *** this year right after the holidays, calling him regularly in the hope I can motivate his actions.
I sincerely hope you can help me with this issue.
Thank you
Customer Response

Dear Ms.,
I have attached a copy of the credit card statement showing the payment of $2,060 which Jon obtained using *** payment processor. (I under-valued the amount in my complaint because I was going by memory, which was a year ago.)
However, as I stated in the complaint, Mr. has promised ad nauseum to provide a copy of an estimate but has yet to perform the work or submit an estimate as agreed.
If you need anything further, please respond here or call me directly at ***.
