This response is from Co owner Jason ***.We apologize for the 2nd request, as we did not receive/see request We are familiar with this customer and her continued unhappiness with her daughter's dress and not being given a full refund When this customer purchased this prom dress on
4/10/she was informed of the non return policy for prom dresses along with it being printed on her receipt The reason for this policy is due to the fact that it is a special event garment in which most customer only wear it once and it stops customers from still wearing the dress to the event and returning it after the event Unfortunately, in this industry people do that as bad as it sounds and will go as far as damaging it after the event to get their money back The customer has provided pictures of her daughter wearing the dress prior to prom at home in the same condition as when she bought it Sometime after she left home for the evening the customer damaged the dress by putting extra stress on the seams Considering this dress style (mermaid looking) the assumption are that it was too small for her as no alterations were done and/or she sat down in a manner or position that the seams simply could not handle.We have contacted the manufacturer of the dress and they agreed with our assessment and will not refund the money either We feel as though we sold a product in good condition and the damage was caused by the customer We also fully communicated the fact that the return policy on the dress at the time of sale for non refundable or exchangeable If we would change this policy we feel as though in would cause business hardship on a small business because of the amount of returns or self inflicted damages that customers could and would do to get a full refund on products after they have used it and no longer have a use for it We do feel bad, but firmly believe in our decision and the decision of the manufacturer.Sincerely Jason and Laura ***
I am rejecting this response because:I was promised when I called the next day they would take care of this and make it right - which has not happened in any way shape or form and has been a very frustrating situationKari should not make promises on the phone she is not gonna follow through withThe store told my daughter the dress for her like a glove and did not need any alterations and even lost weight from when the dress was purchased to when she wore the dress
