David *** of Appraisal Professionals did an appraisal of our 1979 square foot single family home with a two car garage and a quarter acre of land in Salisbury in April 2020.
He made several glaring errors such as overlooking $30,000 of updates that were made, even though he was provided with a list by our realtor.
He used 3 homes for comparison, 2 of which were not true comparisons at all. He used a duplex attached home with less than 1300 square feet and a triple attached home with less than 1300 square feet and a one car garage and small yards as comps.
This was a very unfair comparison and unfair appraisal. When Mr. was asked to use true comparisons and was provided with other comparisons, he refused. Our home was appraised way below it's true value. He killed the deal we had made with our buyer, who had already paid for a home inspection and sold their home.
He also left lights on in the vacant home when he did the appraisal and left the front door dead bolt unlocked when he left. This was a blatant disrespect for our property.
