I have given permission to my tenant to call somebody to fix the clothes dryer at *** in Burnaby BC. The technician came May 31, he called and said that it would be $250.00 plus GST. total amount would be $ 262.50, to fix the dryer. I have told him to go ahead and fix it because my tenant needs the cloths dryer. However, he was not able to fix the dryer, and he demanded that I have to pay $ 262.50 before he can leave. I said that why would I have to pay if dryer is not fixed, he told me that he would have to get a part for the dryer. But I need to pay before he leaves the unit. I gave him my Visa number to have him leave the unit. Following day I called to see what is happening with the part, I was told that they would need to contact the technician and will get back to me. nobody got back to me, so I called *** to let them know what happened. I was told by *** representative to send them email and demand, to have the $199.50 refunded back to my ***. I am willing to pay the service call $ 63.00 including GST.
On June 4,2018 the technician sent email to my tenant saying that it would cost $550.00 for the *** plus tax. And the part was not in stock, the earliest time he could get this part is 3 to 4 weeks. This is when I went and bought a brand new dryer for just under $400.00.
I Have emailed them, called and sent text messages to this day they have not gotten back to me. Please see if you can do anything for me. This is not proper what this company is doing. Thank you ***

On May31/2018 Time 6:30 (Dryer problem *** Not heading)
This appointment was booked by Tenant *** and when the technician arrived at the appointment he called and spoke to the landlord *** and explain and read to her the labour quote and how much is going to cost her for diagnosing the problem with her *** dryer $250.00 plus tax(part and installation extra) and she agreed and tenant signed the invoice and she paid over the phone by her ***.
On Saturday,June 2, time 2:36pm
Our company technician did send the tenant a text with the price of the main control board $550.00 plus tax (including installation and warranty) also spoke to the landlord *** which she was not happy with the price of the part and she refused to proceed to complete the repair (Etr for the part 3-4 weeks not available in stock).
She decided on her own since the part is not available at this point and Farther repair is expensive she should only pay the dispatch fee and the diagnostic and the work we did on her dryer should be free. She did file a complaint with *** company and she lost the case and the return our money.
