Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans

Review: A theft occurred at my complex at Yorkshire Edenborn Apartments in Metairie, LA. I had a package stolen off my front door. The young man who stole the package was seen on camera, arrested and convicted of theft. The item he stole was an expensive camera lens.

At the apartment complex there was a sign that offered a reward of $200.00 to anyone who gave info that lead to an arrest/conviction of burglary, theft, etc. The sign had the name on it of the The Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans.

In July, 2015 I contacted [redacted] who works for the AAGNO. In short, [redacted] gave me the run around for 6 months. She gave me every excuse in the books why the AAGNO would not honor a sign posted that is a unilateral agreement. I would call [redacted] from my 323 area code. She would not answer. 5 minutes later I would call from a local number and she would pick right up. I finally had enough and told [redacted] I was taking the AAGNO to small claims court if there was no an answer with in a certain cure peroid. The AAGNO and [redacted] responded that the sign was no their (although their name was on it), they didnt know it existed and they offer this reward.

My question is why not tell me that 6 months earlier? Why duck my calls if you know its not yours? Why take the sign down if its not yours?Desired Settlement: It would be nice to see the AAGNO to live up to their unilateral agreement and pay the reward. I can provide the police report number and all proof including photos. AAGNO already has this info anyway, but the refuse to anything but make up excuses. There is no other AAGNO with in this city. I don't see how they can claim this sign is not theirs.
