My name is ***:
I have been here several times. I would highly recommend to take your vehicle here. Very nice and polite. Goes out of his way to help you out. I trust him very much. I will keep going back when I need help. Always says if I feel something is not right to bring it by and he will look at it for me. I hear a something he looks and always checks and lets me know if car is safe to drive are if I need to get something fixed. Never pressures me that it has to be done that day. He is really a good guy. So if you need someone you can trust please give Ali a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you for the kind words. We do our best to be honest with our customers and help get them back on the road! We look forward to seeing you again next time you need to get your car repaired!
About Dec. 7th, I was in store getting prices for new shocks. The store manager and I had a lengthy conversation about the exact part, brand, part number, and warranty that I was looking for that I previously found at a competitor. Monroe quick strut *** Limited Lifetime Warranty, OEM replacement.
The store manager said he had 2 in the back and he would beat the competitor’s price. I confirmed with him the part info again, I purchased both. What I was actually sold was the “economy” style, different part number, no warranty, and an inferior product. I did not realize this at the time.
One shock ended up being faulty. I called and spoke with the same manager, I was told it would be replaced no questions asked. At the time of the exchange he brought out the shock I was originally looking for. Another worker and myself noticed the different part numbers. The manager said”this is for a heavy-duty application”-there is no such thing. I voiced my concerns because the economy style was already on one side and didn’t want handling issues while driving with two different style shocks. He said” that one didn’t work, try the other”. He was being very short and seemed like he wanted me out of the store.
I felt uneasy but left with the replacement shock. After getting home I decided to research in depth the different shocks I was given. This is when I discovered what I was originally sold.
The store manager gave me a great price on the shocks because he was selling me an inferior, cheaper product. There is only economy and OEM style offered. He purposely mislead me on the product I was receiving, then tried to cover it up by misleading me again about the part he was exchanging for the defective shock.
I contacted the district manager about this issue and told him I wanted to return the shocks, and additional parts bought since buying the shocks, I felt I could not trust any of the parts I bought from this location. He spoke with the store manager whom of course denied any wrongdoing, and originally agreed to refund me for ALL the parts. I attempted to return the parts but was only able to get a refund for the shocks because I no longer have the card used to purchase the other items.
I contacted the district manager again and told him about the refund issues and that I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. I the reply email he stated there was nothing more they could do for me and feel free to file the complaint.
Because of this issue my truck had been down for weeks resulting in lost wages, transportation issues with my family, purchasing/renting additional tools and equipment to remove/install newly purchased parts.
I was intentionally sold the wrong part and was continually lied to in an attempt to cover it up.
There seems to be some confusion about this complaint and our business. We are Advanced Performance Automotive, also known as AP Automotive, and are a service repair shop. We are NOT in the parts retail business, other than parts we provide as they apply to repair work. This complaint seems to be directed to Advanced Auto Parts, a parts retail store in the area, and Luis is referenced as the salesperson. We do not employ anyone by that name, we are a two man general repair automotive business. I understand the confusion in the name Advanced Auto vs. Advanced Performance Automotive, LLC.
We kindly request that this complaint be removed from our business listing. We pride our business on our record of positive reviews, and hope that the customer receives satisfaction through the other business Advanced Auto.
thank you
