I requested the Fitness Management Group (FMG) to cancel my contract on January 15, 2020, via e-mail and contacted the Anytime Fitness (within 30 days of the cancellation period.) However, I did not get any response from the FMG and Anytime Fitness refused to cancel my contract. I was a on campus student at The University of Texas at Tyler when I signed the contract and explained clearly to the Anytime Fitness that I am no longer a (on-campus) student at the University of Texas at Tyler and moved back to *** in January 2020 (student’s hometown) which is 77 miles away from the Tyler, TX.
I do understand that an agreement was signed by me on December 27, 2019, but I was never provided a copy of the contract from the Anytime Fitness (where FMG operate). Because it was signed by me on their computer and therefore could not follow up with the contract. I was also told by the trainer that I will be charged when I received training at the time of signing the contract. Also, for time being (Covid-19) and economy of disaster I can’t afford to pay for sessions and all gyms are shuttered.
I've made multiple attempts with the FMG to cancel my contract but they have been charging me for last three months. Please help me out to resolve this agreement.
I will keep this very short as the Revdex.com has many complaints and recent regards to FMG and often or always so it appears through Anytime Fitness. This appears to be an ongoing issues and now one that includes us through Anytime Fitness the New Berlin, WI location. The Anytime Fitness management has admitted as recent as the time of myself writing this that they have far too many complaints with various customer satisfaction issues. We were basically told they in FMG don't offer refunds and I was directly told this via direct communication from the FMG trainer when I attempted to at a minimum come to a mutually agreeable refund. This is something that must be stopped and if the Revdex.com is not able to help afford such I will exhaust all resources to do myself. They are ripping folks off.
Recently I signed up for personal training through anytime fitness in***. I found his personal training to be very unprofessional and I want a refund. The first day I showed up to train he immediately started talking to me about the other clients behind their backs. It was very strange and disrespectful to them. Then we scheduled two more sessions for the future he canceled both of them very last minute. One of them I was already at the gym when he sent me a text saying, "I just woke up." I was shocked at how immature and unprofessional he was being. It is very rude to cancel sessions without a valid excuse and especially a couple minutes before our session was about to start. I have no car so I have to get a ride to the gym so I ended up having to get a ride to come pick me up from the canceled session. This cost me time, gas money, and was a major inconvenience. Now it had been two weeks since I signed up and so far I had only one lesson and no nutritional help. He promised nutritional advice and planning and I had received nothing. I told him I was pressed for time and really wanted to get a jump on it but he still had a very careless approach to everything and no regard for my time. Not to mention he tried to add me on snapchat and even referred to me as "hun" through text once. I found this to be very strange and too informal. Just another example of how unprofessional he is. After the canceled sessions, no diet help, talking behind his clients backs, and trying to add me on snapchat I told Justin that I value my time, fitness, and money too much to keep "training" with him. After I told him I wanted to stop training with him he proceeded to text me repeatedly and tell me that I was to get no refund and that I had no choice but to train with him. I asked him for the number of his boss on several occasions but all he did was make excuses and refuse to give it to me. Later I found out he was the manager of the training program. This shocked me because he handled conflict so poorly and immaturely. I have never heard of a boss refusing to help out a client when they are unhappy not to mention repeatedly texting them to tell them they (the client) are in the wrong. I went to the gym to workout one day and he confronted me. I calmly told him what was wrong and he then went on to call me "rude" and act like I was crazy for wanting a refund or some compensation for my wasted time. I cannot believe a person in a managerial position would ever call a disatisfied and respectful client rude, but he did. He then walked away clearly very mad and I continued my workout. A couple minutes pass and he continues to text me long messages while we are both a few feet from each other at the same gym. He finally apologizes but says there is nothing he can do. Instead of offering something to make me happy and see what he can do for me he continues to try and text me and set up sessions and push me off on other trainers. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a business. I tried to reach out to FMG but no response through email or phone call. I would like compensations for my wasted time and the unprofessionalism and inappropriate behavior of my trainer. I will continue to leave reviews and comments through ***, Revdex.com and more stating my experience. I will tell all my friends who go to that gym to cancel their memberships and not to train with them. I can't say enough how stressful and unprofessional my experience was.
I’m 2017 I went and got a gym membership for anytime fitness I also got a trainer . I went to two sessions amd that was it. Due to having and accident I was not able to continue to work out. After I seen the first payment on my card get taken out I called up to anytime fitness to cancel my membership . Fast forward to over a year and 8 months later and they are still taking out a payment from my card every month without my authorization. I’ve called Wisconsin several times and left messages and still haven’t talked to anybody . I’ve called anytime fitness and they told me the trainer manager would call me back and that never happened either . They have withdrawn my account for over $2000 for services I never received and did not authorize.
I am a member of the Anytime Fitness in ***. In January 2019, the club hired a new general manager. At this time, I decided to increase the number of classes I took with my trainer from once a week to twice a week. I asked the manager to increase the number of withdrawals from once a month to twice a month. The manager, without my consent, signed me up for a new round of 97 classes. I repeatedly contacted him to tell him I did not agree to the additional classes. My signature is not on the contract. I was charged two or three times, and then the club told me they had cancelled the contract. Imagine my surprise when four months later I have been charged $222.50 for this contract I never signed.
Thank you,FMG and I came to an agreement that satisfied each of us, so I would like to rescind my complaint please. Thank you
I put my account on hold due to the fact that my trainer left and is no longer working for the company. Now three months later still no trainer and they continue to take up the money again.

I signed up with this company from Louisiana. My trainer was wonderful and did a very good job training me. But after I paid for all of my sessions in full, (over 100 sessions) the company wasn't updating my payment history profile. They were not recognizing a money order check I sent them, which was my last payment before being paid in full. Fast forward after numerous calls, stress, and an email to their email on their website; I received no response but did notice they updated the profile as recognizing the check. These issues started in September of 2018, we are now in January of 2019 and I have 107 unused sessions that are completely paid for in full but can not reach any member from this company or team to have a trainer train me for them. After speaking with two of their previous employees, the company is taking peoples money and running with it at this point. I am not the only person they have done this to from what I understand just the one with the biggest problem. I have once again called every number associated with them, emailed them, contacted the anytime fitness that I signed up though, and the only thing I get out of anyone is to file a law suit.
I management group to receive 155 sessions of training with a personal trainer at the cost of $55 per session and have already paid for all sessions for a total of $8,525. I received only 106 sessions and still have 49 unused sessions left, worth a value of $2,695. FMG has cut ties with the gyms that I attend and fired all their trainers. I have no access to a trainer for my remaining sessions. I called FMG to inquire about getting a refund for the remaining unused sessions and was told that only ***r with the Baton Rouge sector of FMG could help me. *** has been my normal point of contact throughout my history of working with trainers; however, I had already tried calling her to get the issue resolved. Ms.r has not answered repeated phone calls or text messages nor returned any of my phone calls. FMG received my payment and should be responsible for providing access to a trainer for the remaining sessions or to refund my money. The reluctance of FMG and Ms.r to communicate in order to resolve this issue has caused considerable distress.
To whom it may concern,
We have been in contact with *** directly and are working towards a resolution.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Since the beginning of December 2018, FMG has been telling me that they are working on resolving the matter, but nothing has been done at this point. They keep saying they will call me back, but never do. I've had to call multiple times a week to keep this matter on their radar, and I do not feel that they are taking this matter seriously nor are they resolving the issue in a timely manner.

Purchased personal training sessions at Anytime Fitness on Forest Home Ave. back in March. Trainer was never available to accommodate time for sessions. Months later I contacted him to set something up, since I has more availability . Trainer was no longer with the company and my gym was no longer working with FMG for personal training sessions. I attempted contacting the company multiple times, left messages , and sent out emails since July and never got a response. Sent email to local manager for trainer and it was forwarded to corporate in Texas. They refuse to give me a refund and tell me I had to travel to a different gym for my sessions. I don't belong to. I was told someone would contact me via phone within 48 hours. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard a response back. This company is very unprofessional and I'm not interested on getting services from them. I want my money back! They claimed that they don't have record of my attempts to contact them and I do have all the emails sent out to them, starting in July. If they are needed for this complaint. I have attempted to sign in to their website to copy the initial contract and it seems like my profile has been blocked.

This company is all about the $$. They have little concern for their clients progress and even less concern about their trainers/employees. Be prepared to have trainer after trainer as their employee turnover is very high! Clients are at risk for serious injury as their trainers are not competent.
My issue with this company goes on the the leadership for the location in New Braunfels, Tx. The two gentlemen that running that area are horrible! They are young a cocky and think that no-one can touch them. My husband was the fitness manager their for awhile and no matter what happened with that location it was always my husbands fault. They never wanted to take responsibility for any issue they caused. Many clients would complain about their fitness account and my husband could not give them information because it was above his responsibility. They failed every time to contact the member and address their concerns. The location did not get many new members and when my husband began working there he did everything in his power to sell training. He spoke with almost every member they already had and all new members that joined in since he arrived. My husband was well loved by the members and were upset to know he would be leaving. He left because we found his exact job posted on indeed.com and we knew they were going to replace him. They expected him to perform magic tricks getting people to buy training with all the current members when all the old members had already been spoken to before about training. The leadership never came to the location and helped my husband in any way. Their way of help was to just have a video conference and role play multiple times a week. It is not the fitness managers job to pull in new members only to sell training. And you can only sell training when you have new members joining frequently. Overall that location is not doing well. Then on top of that my husbands direct leader was always in the San Marcos location (which is doing great) flirting with the general manager on the daily. I know this because I have a person that goes to that gym everyday and sees him in her office. He is never in the Fitness managers office. I am so beyond disgusted with the company that they would leave a couple of mns in charge. You need to replace those guys and find someone who will do the job right and actually care about their locations and employees.
