I was charged $250.00 for moving services that were not done. They did not fulfill their obligation but charged me anyway.
I hired Anthony's moving to load my U-Haul truck on July 27, 2019. At 9:20 a.m. two men arrived and I explained that my bedroom furniture needed to be loaded first because they were going to my new home and the rest of my furniture was going into a storage unit.
The first thing they proceeded to load was my antique china cabinet, which is very large and bulky, onto the truck. (Why didn't they start with the bedroom furniture as I requested?) That was my first concern with your movers! Ezra L then stated that the U-Haul truck was not big enough for all of my furniture and boxes; therefore I needed a larger truck and I asked if they would be available later that day. He called his "boss" as he did not know how to handle the situation. That was another concern I had with your movers. I was told that since they were on the clock I would still have to pay the 2 hour minimum even though they did NOT provide a service. They were taking my money for doing NOTHING and expecting more money when they came back to help me. Little did they know I would never use Anthony's again since I was just ripped off for $250.00.
It's horrible customer service and it's very disturbing to me that I would be charged for services NOT PROVIDED!!!!!!!! My U-Haul truck WAS NOT loaded; therefore, I should not have been forced to pay a 2 hour minimum. NO service was provided. It's unethical practices.
Furthermore, Ezra called me 5 times that day after he left my house offering his services once I found the larger truck and expecting payment AGAIN!!! That's borderline harassment in my opinion.
I need to be refunded the $250.00 since they did not fulfill their obligation.
I am seeking a refund in the amount of $250.00 since Anthony's moving did not fulfill their obligation of loading my U-Haul truck.
In response to Mrs *** A minimum cost of 2 hrs is required by our company Whereas others charge a 3 hr minimum . Our service was provided but the U-Haul that she provided was to small to load all her household items.Therefore Mr L called the office like he is suppose to do an was told to tell the customer we would return when a larger truck was available.The 1 hr credit would have been credited to the final billing.Also I understand why the China Cabinet was loaded 1st The larger items serve as a Base But even that would not fit in the small U-haul Sorry for the misunderstanding In the future I will be sure to inform customers that all Moving Companies do require a minimum

I was aware of the 2 hour minimum which I had no problem paying. The problem was that your company did not provide a service at all. However, your response indicated a 1 hour credit would have been issued but it was not. I was charged the full $250.00 and I have the receipt to prove it. So, according to your response I will expect a refund in the amount of $125.00 mailed to my new address.
We have resolved the customers concerns.
