Ansonia Auto Park Reviews (3)

Review: The dealer stated in their sales agreement that the vehicle was without defects and that the fuel system passed inspection. Unfortunately we trusted them and bought it "as is." Because of this we have no recourse with the Connecticut DMV. The vehicle was IMMEDIATELY found to have a serious defect with the fuel system and with the ignition system and has been in a repair shop for two weeks. The dealer refused to look at it as he insisted that the only thing wrong with it is that it may need a new battery in the key fob. The dealer did send a person to our home to -- as he told us originally-- to pick up the vehicle, but instead the person (while we were not home) made a "repair" to the truck in our driveway. This person who made this "repair" later informed me on the phone that he is NOT a mechanic, does not work for Ansonia Auto Park, and has nothing to do with them. Since that time, the dealer would not allow us to set up an appointment for the repair. The "manager" [redacted] would not provide his last name for the complaint and the owner of the business does not return our phone calls. We wold like the costs of the repair which had to be done at another repair facility refunded to us.Desired Settlement: Refund of full costs of repairs.

Review: I purchased a 1998 BMW 323 IS Coupe from Ansonia back on July 3, 2015. I paid $3,429.00 for the car. The owner is a person by the name of Daniel F** and his assistant (for whom I mainly dealt with was a person by the name of Scott). My son picked up the car and drove it home. He subsequently told me that the front shook when he drove. I took the car to [redacted] for safety issues and they told me the car had a broken front strut and that the back tires needed to be replaced. The repairs cost me $249.96 for the tires and the strut. I immediately called Ansonia to avail myself of the 30 day warranty and literally called them about every other day to make good on the warranty but to no avail - each and every time I called I was told by Scott that he would be speaking to Dan the owner and that even goes for today at 1pm my latest conversation with them. This matter is still pending with todays call resulting in Scott hanging up on me.

In addition, Ansonia also gave me an unsigned title that when I took to my ** DMV they told me they would not register the car. Whille the tires/strut was pending I was trying to get the title issue clarified. Until one day I could not wait anymore as my son was driving with Dealer plates - so I went back to Ansonia to have someone sign the title in front of me - and then again I asked about my warranty / reimbursement on the back tires and the strut and was told by Scott - "still have not talked to Dan yet" - cmon I know they stalled to get outside the 30 day warranty period.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed the $249.96 of repairs that I had to make at [redacted]. I would also like for someone to contact Scott/Dan and just explain to them in reality that they are thieves and should be not allowed to do business like this to prevent taking advantage of any more customers.

Review: I went to Ansonia Auto Park looking to purchase a used vehicle. I was shown many cars, until I was offered a 2005 [redacted] Neon after mentioning that I was interested in a small car. I was told it was in good condition with no problems, and that I had a 30-day warrantee on it, stating that within 30 days of the purchase they would fix anything that was wrong for free. Many problems occurred days after first receiving it. They fixed everything for free as they had said, however I asked numerous times for them to fix my alignment and brake pads, because the brakes were squeaking a week after I got the car and my wheel was a 90 degree angle to the right when my wheels were straight. They refused, saying the brakes were fine and the steering wheel's position was "cosmetic." (My dad being a mechanic knew that was absolutely wrong.) Since my 30 day warrantee has been up, it's been problem after problem, nonstop. To simply put it all, I was sold a "good condition car" with a broken pulley, a broken pulley wheel, a broken thermostat (I overheated 4 times for over an hour), tires that are bald on the inside and almost bald on the outside as well, bad brake pads both rear and front, a awful alignment, fans unplugged, another gasket unplugged (both not noticed until car acted funny due to them being unplugged), the brake line touching the wheels, no exhaust pipe bracket, and not to mention it's an automatic car and has stalled 5 times since May, and only shifts when you take your foot off the gas and repress it. I approached the front desk to ask to get a call back from the owner, Dan, and was told he would call me back immediately. I waited 4 weeks before I was even acknowledged. I was told many very rude things with words I prefer not to mention, and given no options on how to help my problem. I have showed up numerous times and always given the same rude, swearing customer service. I was sold a car which was in very bad condition, sold with false advertising. I just want justice, and a car that doesn't terrify me every time I drive it. I tried to reason with them, asking to trade it in for a car of the same price, but I was told "If I don't want it, leave it there" with none of my money back in a very rude tone. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I'm told by them that they are "untouchable" when it comes to the law. I want justice for not only me but everyone else who I see going there and arguing with the employees.Desired Settlement: I want to return the [redacted] Neon to them and exchange it for either my $2,800 I spent on the car so far, or another car of equal price ($4,995) from their dealership. (That hopefully works as it's said to.)
