Angele Apartments

Review: I would like to file a complaint against the Angele Apartments in Metairie, La. The legal name of the business is Kraft and Company DBA Angele Apartments. The manager's name is Dave who refused to give me the owner's name. I am a current tenant and have been living in this community for almost a year. I am filing a complaint regarding the failure of this business to resolve an issue with the presence of rodents in my apartment. I initially discovered evidence of rodents in October 2014 when I found chewed holes in a loaf of bread (which had been sealed) and was being stored on my countertop. I asked that the manager have maintenance check for holes and points of entry which was not done completely. There was a hole by the shower head in the bathroom as well as a hole by the plug in behind the stove which I believe to be potential points of entry. Consequently, I had the misfortune of experiencing the same scenario a week and a half ago when it rained really hard and Lake Ave (which is the street apartments are located on) flooded, driving rodents once again from their hiding places. This time there were at least three known rodents running around my apartment. I called the apartment office and spoke to the manager (Dave) on at least two separate occasions and was advised that all he could do would send maintenance out again but that he could not guarantee that they'd make the necessary repairs. Maintenance came out and patched the shower head but not behind the stove. The rodent control company came out once again and laid traps only. I called and advised him that since I had spoken to him last I saw a third rodent and I asked to speak to a manager. He said the manager refused to speak to me and that he was advised that the rodent control company advised him that no matter what holes were repaired it would not make any difference. He went on further to dismiss the complaint altogether by telling me they've done all that they can do and that was the end of it. I have disposed of 4 mice.Desired Settlement: I want the manager and/or owner to have my apartment properly inspected to determine where the rodents are coming in and once discovered to repair these breaches. I have NEVER paid my rent late not once since I have lived here but usually pay at least a week in advance of the due date. I feel disrespected and cheated and want them to remedy this situation ASAP!!
