My family checked into this hotel at 2:32pm on Thursday the 13th of February. I was traveling with my teenage daughter, our 2 small dogs and our cat. We were given room ***. We first had difficulties using the parking gate because you need room keys to operate it. Our room keys hardly worked in either the parking gate and the room door and one of the 2 of us usually had to stay inside the room to let the other in.
First thing we noticed is the quite strong smell of cigarettes. We figured someone who just checked out had smoked in there and if we aired out the room by opening the door awhile and buying some air spray, the issue would be handled. Such was not the case! Between my daughter and I we discovered rat feces behind the room door, roaches in the mini fridge and nesting in the bathroom shower curtain, black mold in the shower, old vomit on the floors under the beds and the bedding comforters were never washed and had cigarette burns in them. The handwashing sink was broken and did not drain. It wasn't even attached properly for use! Any items that touched the beds, our costumes and brand new clothing now need to be either deep steam sanitized in dry cleaning or thrown away. They reek of cigarettes and both my daughter and I are allergic to such smells and residue. My daughter is asthmatic and I have health issues.
I spoke to the front desk twice about issues and was turned away both times with a "we don't care" rude attitude. Myself, my daughter and all 3 pets were so sick after 72 hours we had to abandon our room and rest in a truck stop before driving 8 hours home! I had us pack up at 1 A.M. Sunday morning because literally every single room, top floor, left and right of us had guests up drinking, smoking, doing drugs and partying. The property was NOT SAFE for families! We were in town for a convention at the ***. We will NEVER stay in Maryland again after our treatment. Both my daughter and I are sick and recovering from 72 of no sleep that weekend. I have photos
