Anchorage Inn

I have been going here for years and have always loved it but after dealing with manager "Patty" I can say I will not be back unless I find out she was fired. She is rude and has zero customer service experience. I called about a mistake on my bill and she refused to help me. It is so sad that such a nice place will not be around in a few more years because of poor management.

Would highly discourage anyone from staying at this property. The general manager, Patty, has no compassion for others. My wife had a reservation for February 19th. She called on 2/14 to alert the property that my father was not doing well (on hospice) to which an employee informed her the cancellation policy was 10 days in advance so the money would be forfeited. On 2/15, the next morning, my dad passed and I called to speak to the manager. After speaking with the general manager, Patty, and letting her know my dad just passed her initial reply did not include the standard words of “I’m sorry your loss” (in a future conversation she tried to say she did but it was only after I pointed it out during our initial conversation). She said the employee was correct and they would not refund our money. She did offer to provide a credit but who would want to stay at a hotel where the top employee has no heart? (as a result I declined). Over the next few days, my efforts were put into dealing with funeral arrangements and I passed it to my credit card company to resolve. They came back to show the online credit card policy of 10 days. I called Patty to try and resolve again. She did not call me back. I had to call a few times to speak with her live and she said there was nothing they would do and the money is forfeited. Again, I want to re-iterate, I tried to proactively cancel reservations about 5 days in advance on a day which funeral arrangements were held – to which they replied no. This organization has someone in charge with zero compassion for others. The board should review their customer service policy as guests should be aware of the individuals representing their company. My interaction was far from positive although I hope you have a good time should you choose to stay here.
