My neighbour referred them.
I phoned *** around June 7th for an estimate on patio door and front door. He came on June 8th and June 12th to give me an estimate, which was $3922.00. He insisted that I should get triple pane patio door for better insulation, which was approximately $200 and included in that price.
The doors were installed on July 17th and I paid in full on July 18th. I was given just a total price invoice, not itemized.
I realized that the floor lock for the patio door was included as I wasn't discounted for not getting, so I phoned him middle of September and *** and one of his workers came on September 17th and installed, which took about 10 minutes. ***. Before Christmas I found out that my triple pane patio door was only a double pane.
Now my front door. He had the door and glass in stock he said. When the wind blows from the south, I have a lot of cold air blowing in. It is worse than my old door. I think too much insulation was removed when installing the glass. Even draft blowing in from dead bolt and door handle, plus around door. The door is a greyish white, which *** tried to convince me that it didn't need to be painted. Noticed too that there is dents in the door. They are only noticeable when the sun shines in. I phoned *** on January 7th saying the front door leaked cold air a lot. He said I should have called sooner and that he would come over in the next few days. I have not heard from him and I am apprehensive about calling again.
The reason I wanted new doors was to keep my house warmer in the winter, which they don't. I didn't realize that they were ordering from box store. I watch the flyers and know the cost, plus they had the front door in stock.
A refund on the difference between a triple pane and double pane patio door. Not sure about front door. Most of the cost was labor as my sister bought same door for $200 on sale. Asking for enough to replace or repair.
After consultation it was agreed that triple pane glass was to be installed and that is what was installed, not double pane. This was clearly stated in the itemized invoice and therefore we cannot not provide a refund.
Regarding the front door, our supplier completes any service work on the product and there is still warranty available on the door through the suppler, ***. *** is not a box store.
Regarding paint for the door, they are pre-finished which means they do not need to be painted. If there are dents on the door, the door may be replaceable under warranty through the supplier, ***.
After reviewing the invoice, we now realize that in fact we didn't charge labor for some of the work, we also didn't charge for the front door hardware, foot lock on the patio door and baseboard/trim work that our guys did in addition to the installation not related to the door.
We are happy to initiate a request on the warranty eligibility if the customer would like. All she has to do is give us a call.

I did not receive an itemized invoice. It was to be dropped off and wasn't.
I did not receive a triple pane patio door. I have a double pane. I had *** verify that it was double pane and I did pay for triple pane. At the time of installation, the patio door that was brought opened on the wrong side. It was said that the correct door must have been delivered to the other store. This is why I thought box store. I looked up *** and they do have a location in Regina and a couple distributors.
At the time of the estimate I stated that I needed the front door hardware and for it to be installed. I was told that the foot lock for the patio door was a $10.00 part and it was included in the price. As far as the baseboard/trim work, it is always included in the installation.
My biggest concern is the front door. My reason for replacing doors was to be more energy efficient and save money on power bill. It is cold three feet around door. I have draft blowing along floor. I had snow coming in and frost on the trim. There is draft blowing in around door handle and dead bolt and around the door. It seems to me that too much insulation was removed when the glass insert was installed. Lots of people have similar front doors to mine and do not have screen or storm doors. The weather stripping around door looks fine. I don't know why I'm having this issue. I don't know if ***'s warranty will cover this type of issue.
After paying $3922.00, I expected or hoped for no issues and a more energy efficient home.
would not refund the money I was overcharged. He was also not truthful on where the patio door was purchased from.
Hello,I will be sending a cheque for the amount of $190.00 dollars to *** for the cost difference from dual to triple pane glass. I looked back at the invoice and was charged for triple pane glass.
Good afternoon, *** called me and we set up for a service request to clear everything up
