Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/04/26) */ We are very sorry that there was confusion when [redacted] signed her lease On page of the lease in a bold box all charges are outlined Every resident is encouraged to at minimum read this portion of the lease but when signing any legal document the resident is responsible for understanding the entire lease and initialing on each page In the 2015/lease renewals did not have to pay the telecom fee again for their 2015/renewal However, in the 2016/lease it clearly states in the bold box the telecom fee is a yearly fee now The leasing manager, [redacted] and the property manager, Brooke, both had meetings with [redacted] in which they showed her the new lease and explained in-depth the telecom fee We want to provide the best customer service possible and make sure all residents are happy but we cannot remove a fee from person's lease because they did not read or look at the charges If there is anything else we can do we would be happy to work with her so we can come to an agreement If she would like to split up the $fee over months to make the payments easier ($per month) we would be happy to do so Thank you
Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/06/02) */
All items Mrs*** was charged were repaired, replaced, or cleaned The Town of Housing Inspector, *** *** came to inspect the work that had been completed He verified with Mr*** that all charges (paint, blinds, etc) had an
accompanying fix He also viewed the photos that were sent to the tenants to clearly show all damages and charges All potential charges are also listed in the Rules and Regulations of the lease and a Move-Out Checklist of requirements was sent to residents to ensure all move-out expectations were clearly communicated Several charges were reduced (below the terms in the contract) in order to attempt to settle the account However, Mr*** has not accepted the charges and in turn sent a bill to us for his time We are still happy to settle the account with Mr*** but are unable to reduce any further charges as all are warranted, have an accompanying photo, and were communicated in writing in the lease documents Thank you
