Beware of the SCAM.

They told me the exact same thing they're telling all their customers. Notice how I said customers.. They target students by sending this letter to their homes (stating: they're could give you discounts on your loans or completely forgive them) making it seem legit but in all reality it's just a way to suck you dry for money. I made the itic mistake of going through with the whole thing and then realizing that everything was a sham, I tell you, they were extremely convincing. I had to change my bank account information and file a complaint to the officials so that way they do not scam anyone else. I spoke to a man named Robert who gave me an attitude because I wanted to cancel right away and he told me that it's the law and continued to try to convince me to keep my application. They sent me an email to confirm that they cancelled my process but lord knows if they did. Other than that check reviews before getting yourself into these kinds of messes.

I'm very pleased with the assistance I have received from Amerifed DocPrep. When I graduated, my school nor did my lenders walk me through on how to pay back my loans or what programs were out there. This company has helped me with the document preparation to consolidate and enroll into a forgiveness program. Not only do I have a low payment but I'm also eligible for Public Loan Forgiveness. They are very responsive and informative when and if I have questions. Would definitely recommend them.

Scam. They told me my student loan payments would be $39 a month for 20 years. But come to find out, the $39 a month for 20 years is for them to do my paperwork to reapply for forbearance every year. Plus they charged me 3 payments of $299 to send in the paperwork. But you can do that for free. Real pieces of st. Don't believe anything they said. They just want your money.

I called this company after receiving a letter in the mail labeled *** which was actually this company. Upon calling I was made aware they were a third party. Which should've been my clue to run after misleading letter. They claimed to do all my prep work for my income driven plan for 1 payments of $899. At the time I thought it must've be alot of hard paperwork that I'd mess up on my own and agreed. (My fault) Then, I'd pay $39 month for my income driven plan with ***. After calling ***, they informed me that my plan is zero a month. This company was going to pocket $39 month for a year. They also made me aware that the same paperwork thru them was free and they could walk me through it. They suggested I report this company and gave me the information to do so. After calling my bank to stop all payments with them found out I was second person that was mislead by them! Scammers!!!

I got a letter in the mail and the notice date on it was 4.27.2020. It asked if I wanted to get out of high interst student loan debt. The phone number was 866-662-7063. I called and spoke with Fabby, a woman, her number is ***. I gave her my reference ID number from the letter. With that she knew all of my personal info. She told me my enrollment had been approved. She said I was enrolled in a federal student loan consolidation. She told me on May 15th, May 29th, and June 12th my payments would be $29.66, then they woudl convert to $39 a month after that. She emailed me documents from ***. I received a client service agreement, a proof of income and a direct consolidation loan application and prommissory note "the ***", an income driven repayment plan request, and a public service loan forgiveness employment certification form. I signed off an everything and returned it to them. Then I tried to contact them because nothing had been consolidated. I talked to customer service, and couldn't reach them. Then I began doing online research, and fond comments indicating money had been taken but loans were not consolidated. I contated ***, who told me to contact Revdex.com. I called *** to put a stop on the payment, and to change my account number.

Amerifed Doc Prep Response • Jul 09, 2020

We explain to our clients that It is a very complex and long term process for borrowers to navigate these waters correctly and receive the benefits which they are entitled to at the end of the program. Which is why most individuals prefer to hire companies like ours to help them fill out and submit the paperwork correctly and accurately.

I was charged an outrageously high price for services that were not provided as described. It was claimed that I was signing up for a government program to consolidate my federal loans, and at no point during the signup was I verbally told that this company was not associated with the government, nor that the “service” they are offering is actually doable for free. They charged me almost $800 for what amounted to 10 minutes of document preparation, and are now refusing to refund me the money they took. In addition, I was told that once the loans were consolidated, payments would be deferred for 4 months. This was a lie, as I found upon calling them that they intended to begin to charge me just 3 weeks after signing up, before the loans were even paid off. In fact, the consolidation request was rejected due to the loans already being in deferment, something which the company also neglected to mention would be an issue. They are employing dishonest tactics to massively overcharge for their so called “services”.

Would've left zero stars if it was allowed. I called this company after receiving a letter in the mail labeled Department of Education which was actually this company. Upon calling I was made aware they were a third party. Which should've been my clue to run after misleading letter. They claimed to do all my prep work for my income driven plan for 3 payments of $333. At the time I thought it must've be alot of hard paperwork that I'd mess up on my own and agreed. (My fault) Then, I'd pay $39 month for my income driven plan with Navient. After calling Navient, they informed me that my plan is zero a month. This company was going to pocket $39 month for a year. They also made me aware that the same paperwork thru them was free and they could walk me through it. They suggested I report this company and gave me the information to do so. After calling my bank to stop all payments with them found out I was second person that was mislead by them! Scammers!!!

This Company is absolutely a life saver I have been dealing with my federal student loans for almost a decade and gotten no where with them, Daniel was very informative and forward with me letting me know that he is not part of the DOE but a 3rd party that assists me with the federal programs offered by the DOE and I have to say for the small fee it is well worth it to let them take over and make sure every thing is done correctly, I highly recommend them and Daniel

They are the worst Aury J and Robert d*** are rude and very unprofessional humans they are very miss leading never do they say the name of the company. when you try to call back they have 100 different kinds of bs why they can’t call you back I ask for my invoice payment I made took them over an 1hour to do. Don’t sign up with this company they don’t give a f about there customers your just a fast check after that they won’t send your emails nothing invoices or answer any of your question they beat around and bs. This “company” doesn’t care about your financial situation.

lesson learned....anything that comes in the mail that relates to student loans and it isn't from anyone besides fafsa or any studentaid.gov THROW THE WHOLE THING AWAY!!!!!! I fell for that s*** with these scamming folks and found out they were doing the same with others but WORSE they took my second charge, noticed a credit score drop after I fell for these f*s...cancelled it while letting my bank know of any withdrawal from that company or any other then tells me that I wasn't eligible to get my first charge back because I didnt notify them three days after I placed that bullst. Also was told that they were affiliated with the D.O.E knowing damn well that was a lie. NEVER AGAIN

This company false advertised loan forgiveness for my student loans. And I’ve paid them 800$ and their requesting more money.

Not real only want money!!!! Totally FRAUDULENTLY company, no willing to work with you on the things there suppose to help with. Still received loan bills etc

Verbally misled us to believe they were part of the department of education and did not clarify they were filing on our behalf for student loan forgiveness. Informed us that we needed to pay a processing fee to apply for federal student loan debt consolidation and that we had been "approved for student loan forgiveness through the department of education."

I seriously thought I was talking to processors from the Department of Education. On the phone they never said the name of their company, they made me feel like I was speaking with someone from DoE. They told me all payments would go to DoE, but that I had to pay a 1000.00 fee for processing. I thought I was paying the DoE for the processing! It wasn’t until after I had signed up that I received an email and looked at the guy’s signature, which was from Amerifed. I felt like a complete it and scammed entirely.

I had my loans already consolidated for free, Yet my servicer nelnet denied my documents to enroll in a forgiveness program after 3 attempts. A friend said beware of many companies that charge a fee that they actually complete the process so I do not get ripped off. I enrolled with Amerifed & 2 hours later received All my federal documents prepared for me and I had to sign a couple pages then mail in. Pretty simple sent a few co workers also public school teachers they all had same experience.

0 start , received letter in mail box stating final notice when call letter , a gentleman named Arthur B knew a lot of personal information , after almost convinced I realized it's a loan forgives scam to trap all student. In to a new law that passed. Then after they take your payment information the next day I try calling every possible number and all numbers were disconnected.

DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THESE PEOPLE!

For the sake of not wasting any more of my time on this company I won't go into full detail about my experience but please please please save your money and your time. The person you will speak with originally is very good at talking you into something you THINK you are getting; however, you will end up signing a contract for things you didn't realize were included. I would like to point out that this is totally my fault and I should have read the contract over in more detail, although part of the sales pitch is that they get you to rush (playing off my already anxiety ridden day) to complete these tasks.

DO NOT DO IT! Should you wish to consolidate your loans, you can do it for FREE through studentaid.gov. SAVE YOUR MONEY and don't play into these scam artists.
